Ben Solo Lives | a Reylo story (Star Wars)

Chapter 7

   I wake up to the sound of Porgs making their usual and very irritating chirping. I groan in anger and cover my ears with my pillow. I try and fall back asleep but instead I lie fully awake on my bed. I roll my eyes and sit up straight while yawing and looking awful.

Yesterday, Ben and I did more research on our bond and haven't really figured it out. I studied and memorized almost with every single book that related with our bond and yet somehow we still don't understand it. We spent all day and most of the night trying to do different things to see if we can activate it or some sort of reaction come out of it but nothing.

I don't know if it has to do with emotional feelings or something like that but I just don't know what to do.

I finally roll out of bed while stepping on some of the papers that were from last night. I walk into the main part of the ship and I see Ben asleep with a Porg on top of him.

I quietly walk outside to go get some food from the locals for the both of us and while i was looking up to see the sun beam against the rocky islands, I see a huge figure in the distance on top of one of the islands.

I put down my bag full of our breakfast and walk towards the figure trying to get a better look of it. When I finally get close enough, I see a ship that i have never recognized before. I quickly turn around and sprint back to Ben.

Who could it be? I've never seen that ship in my life! And only the people who were with me when we discovered the map to this planet would know how to get here.

Once I reach Ben, he swiftly gets on his in a ready position to fight while still having a very groggy look on him.

"Who's there?" Ben says blinking heavily with his fists still up. Once he looks at me his face goes bright red. He looks down to the floor while scratching his head, which he always does when he gets embarrassed.

"Ben we don't have time for this silly stuff. I saw ship on the top of one of the hills." His head shoots up and looks directly at me.

"That's not possible. Only the resistance and us know about where this planet is located." Ben starts pacing back and forth with his hands on his hips and murmuring to himself. "Do you know what kind of ship it is?" I look outside of the window trying to get another glimpse of it.

"No I've never seen that kind of ship before. And I don't think its one of the First Order or Resistance ships." Ben puts on one of his famous black shirts and we both head toward the incomprehensible ship.

Once we get to the ship I go straight to the cockpit and it's empty. "Where did that person go?" I look at Ben but his lips didn't move. "Did you say something?" "Umm no why?" He looks at me with a very bewildered look. "I-I think i just read your mind."

"Wait... what? What did you hear?" "You asked yourself where did that person go. Maybe we just awakened something in us?" I look around to make sure there isn't anyone around.

"Well yeah, that could be it." Ben says while looking one more time before making eye contact with me again.

I roll my eyes and shake my head at the very sarcastic comment he just made. "Why would our bond activate now? We aren't in a very dangerous and scary situation like we were before." We walk to the other side of the hill and all we see are more porgs and water.

"How long do you think this ship was here for?" I turn around to take one more good luck at the vessel. The side on ship is dented and there are a few cracks on the glass. But I have no idea what model this is.

"If i had to guess this must be an older ship. And whoever was the pilot is probably not our age." We both look at each other and start to laugh. After spending a few days on this planet with him made me really get to know him more.

Ben and I have a lot in common that I didn't know about. We both are pretty good pilots, both of our parents are dead, and um that's about it... Haha i'm just kidding. Obviously we both still have a lot to learn about each other but our bond really helps us connect. I've never thought I would be so close to someone who tried to kill me and my friends, but things sometimes always works out in the end.

"So should we go scout the other islands just in case?" "Yeah we should. I'll start up the Bestoon Legacy, you should go get the bag of food I forgot to bring to the ship." I say while turning around and walking towards the ship.

The sun starts setting and the pilot to that mysterious ship has not been found. We've been searching all day and we couldn't even find a single clue. We basically wasted an entire day searching for someone who might not even be alive. We finally land and I could tell someone wasn't happy with our all day search.

"So that was kind of a bust." I say while sighing and leaning back on my seat. "Kind of? We waisted an entire day looking for basically a nobody instead of figuring out our bond!" Ben huffs and crosses his arms in anger.

"I swear that ship was not there when we first arrived here. There's someone here and we could be in danger." "Maybe you just didn't pay attention I don't know, but all I know is that we are basically looking for nothing. We don't have light years to be focusing on something that isn't real." I could see his blood boil from this and I'm honestly a little scared.

  His eyes show his anger but it quickly changes to sadness. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to explode like that." Hey leans back on his seat and covers his face with his hands.

"Its okay, besides you're not the only one who's frustrated." I say while laughing a little bit.

"Well you're not the one with anger issues. Well I'm gonna get to bed." Ben gets up and heads to his side of the ship while I'm left in the cockpit in my own thoughts.

"I hope Poe and Finn are having a better time then we are."
