Chapter two:

Alexis's Point of View

I grabbed another towel. The bleeding just wouldn't stop. I hesitated taking his shirt off but he shrugged it off.

I gasped seeing the wound; it was worse than I had thought. It was a hole slightly below his right shoulder blade. I kept it together but sat there frozen.

His voice was a little stressed but calm and very smooth. "how bad is it?"  I looked up to his face now turned to look at me. I just sat there on my heels my hands red with blood.

He looked and saw wincing at the sight of my hands. I started noticing it on the hard wood floor. I pressed my hands back against his wound trying to stop it.

I softly said, "You need to go to the hospital..." he shot me a frightened look and I took it back. "I'll look for the medical kit, stay here."

I ran upstairs in my socks frantically looking for the kit until I finally found it hiding behind a couple blankets. I grabbed it and ran down the stairs frantically to him.

I cleaned it slightly as best as I could do unprofessionally. I wrapped his shoulder up and placed his shirt on gently.

I stood him up and laid him on the couch with a blanket. "Thank you so much," he said while I grabbed him a pillow.

I was surprised, "Oh! Absolutely, no problem." I sat back down on the chair across from him, "Sorry, I never caught your name."

He smiled a perfect smile his eyes gleaming even in the bad lighting. "Alexander." I smiled back but he had closed his eyes and fallen asleep already.

I shut the sliding glass door to the outside, and slid into bed exhausted. Through the night I could have sworn to hear him talking to someone or maybe himself.

I heard someone come up the stairs but I was too tired to move.
