Chapter Five:

Alexis's Point of View

I stood there waiting for the boys to walk down the stairs. I cleaned up the table a few times and the counters also. Time was passing slower than I thought. I fiddled with my hands, popping my knuckles when I finally heard them coming down the stairs. They both entered the kitchen talking about something I just couldn't understand- in another language?

Alex's eyes lit up as they saw me and he walked swiftly across the room in one motion, wrapping his left arm around my waist and pulled me to him placing a delicate kiss upon my lips. I was dizzy when he let go. He held my hand and motioned with his other towards his brother. "I'm sure you've met my brother already."

Jeremy shook his head and we both knew to keep this morning a secret. "I'm Jeremy darling," he sad kissing my free hand. Man he was smooth. It was better for us not to tell Alex so I played along.

"Nice to meet you!" I replied and Alex squeezed my hand. Oh, that's right. Neither of them knew my name. I smiled and winked at the boys. "Not yet." They would know my name at the right time. I mean Alexis Catherine wasn't that special.

I realized Alex wasn't his shirt and the gauze and tape almost blended in with her flawless white skin. "You mind if I check on the wound?" He shook his head and I undid part of the tape and took a peek. Great! It was looking a little better, but he wouldn't be going outside anytime soon.

I realized I had just stood there and stood while they became worried at my silence. "Don't worry you girls! It's a little better from yesterday, which is an improvement. But, sorry to say it's still in that position where you can't be leaving just yet."

Alex and Jeremy both said, "Fantastic!" which kind of creeped me out.
