The Boy From My Backyard: Chapter Nine

Chapter Nine:

I awoke to a slight pinch on my arm. I looked over to find Jade doing just that. I blinked my eyes a few times and sat up, "What happened?"

Jade placed another blanket over me and explained, "Jeremy found you outside the door and we've been keeping you as warm as possible." she pointed towards the fireplace inches from me.

Alex walked over kissing my lightly on my forehead, "you're awake."

I nodded blushing and laid down again sleeping instantly. I could hear Jade on the phone with her other close friend Violet.

I mean I had nothing against the girl but we just didn't like each other. Violet was a beautiful young lively girl with violet eyes. They had chatted a while and then I was out.

I could feel myself being lifted and guessed it was Alex. I was laid in my bed and it was cold. I pulled down the person who had carried me and we snuggled together until I could feel my face again.

I finally opened my eyes and saw Jeremy sleeping next to me and Alex at the door way. I was only awake those few moments until I was in what doctors call a 'coma'. I was gone for a few days and I heard multiple people in here all the time- even at night.

Then I heard Violet downstairs with Jade 90% of the time. It was mainly Alex in here and he seemed to never leave.

It was about three days before I awoke from the coma and looked out the window. I secretly put all my heavy clothes on and ran outside hearing the song again. This time i knew where to go. I was about half a mile in when I saw it.

A little shrine and a music player sitting next to the mysterious twins. A girl, wearing all white even her skin was why they were than the snow. It was chilling to look at.

The boy though was the opposite though. His hair was a jet black with a single white streak. He wore all black against his sick pale skin.

They both looked at me with blood red eyes.
