Natsu's POV 

The blank stare Erza gave was enough for me to understand the message. "This isn't the first time she's done something like this, is it?" I ask. Erza looks down at the papers in her hand and fixes them up. "Look, I understand that this might affect your . . . view on your partnership with Lucy, Natsu, and I get it if you want to continue to go solo." My eyes widen in shock. Does this change my view? Absolutely, but it doesn't mean that I want to go solo. The short amount of time that I have known Lucy I feel a connection to her that I haven't felt in a long time. Everyone has their weird tendencies and Lucy just so happens to put bombs in her mouth. 

"No!" I pause, I clear my throat after the sudden outburst. "Ahem"

"No, I-Lucy," I breathe in, "This situation does make things a little different, but this doesn't mean that I want to change my partner status." In fact, this whole day has been a rollercoaster of feelings. I don't know how much longer I can keep on going without passing out. "I understand," Erza says, standing from her chair. "Lucy is in the infirmary if you wish to see her and Gray?" Gray looks up from his chair. "You're on cleaning duty," she says. He nods his head. 

The door shuts as Erza leaves and the room falls silent once again. I sigh a heavy sigh and run my hands through my hair, "This is not going to be easy."

"Not at all," Gray says, stacking the chairs. 

Hello again! These chapters have just been a DRAG! so for the next chapter, I plan on doing a time skip well into the future. But do not fret! It won't be like years into the future just a couple of weeks so we get to see the aftermath of what happened. I have a pretty good idea of where this story is going even though when I started this I literally did no planning at all so bear with me if some of the details are just way off. I will try to stay as close to the plot as possible lol.
