Still Gaara's POV

“Uh? What's wrong Gaara?” I looked at him with a serious face and asked “That mark, was it always on her neck?” “Pardon? I don't know anything about it. After eating we'll go to ask Sakura-Chan” I nodded and glanced over Shinki. I called him “Shinki.” “Yes father?” “Eat your ramen before it cools down”

~Time skip~

“Where can we find her? I really need to talk to her and-” “calm down Gaara, she's working at the hospital” “OK, then let's go” I started running, not caring at the people around me. Naruto and Shiki followed me.

After some minutes, we reached the hospital and went inside. I grabbed the arm of a nurse and ask her “Where's Sakura?” “S-she's in room E11 floor 4” I thanked her and she bowed at me and Naruto.

I looked for it all over the hospital, Naruto was telling me something but I was too busy and I didn't listen to him. "Hey Gaara, we could go to the elevator, I'm pretty tired, Dattebayo?" I completely ignored him and finally found the room where Sakura was taking care of some patients.

“Sakura!” I threw open the door and made people in the room take a fright. "G-gaara...?" "Come on, I need to ask you some things" "But I'm still worki-" "today you can finish early, Kazekage's orders."

We went to the Hokage's Building. We sat on the chairs and I turn my head to her. “So, what's your question Gaara?” “ about 1 hour ago, Naruto and Shinki went to eat ramen at Ichiraku. Boruto, Sarada, Y/n and their friends had also come here. At one point Y/n and a friend of hers, who I think is Choji's daughter, came to us.”

I take a deep breath and continued “Choji's daughter was going to say something, but Y/n put her hand over her mouth. Y/n talked to Naruto a little bit and then left with her friend. The point is, when she turned around to leave, I noticed she had a mark on her neck. So... My question is, how long have she had this mark?”

“ Itachi once told me about it-” “Where's he?” She looked Naruto, he did the same, and then she answered me “In coma.” I was shocked, my eyes widen. “u-uh I'm sorry” “I don't know much about it, but the only thing I'm sure of is that it wasn't always on her neck. For example, when she was little and I helped her to get dressed, it wasn't there. Sometimes, however, I noticed that her neck turned red when she was crying and when she was nervous or agitated. At first I thought she was just scratching, but when Itachi told me about this, I was shocked. 'love', that's the word in her neck.” she explained.

Naruto intervened by saying “The strange thing is, why wasn't that mark always on Y/n's neck? ” “Because she doesn't need love. She has always been loved by everyone, she has a lot of friends to count on including your son, Boruto. He's very close to her, He's a close friend of her... Or maybe something more” she stuttered the last part not making me hear well what she said. “he's a close friend of her or maybe what...?” me and Naruto asked.

“Nothin-” “Something more.” Shinki responded attracting the attention of all us. Jesus, I had completely forgotten that he was here. *mentally facepalm*
“Sakura what do you mean by that?” “Um...That they are...um... best friends, YES BEST FRIENDS!”

“Gaara I have an idea, Boruto tomorrow and his friends will go to the academy, after they will go to train, maybe we could go to observe Y / n and get more information about the sign, you know like detectives” “great idea, so tomorrow?”

Shinki and I were about to leave but Naruto stopped me asking "how long you'll stay here?" "Four days" "ok"
