[Ch 15] The Chunin Exam : All The 5 Villages

A/n:
Before reading the story, I wanted to tell you that I decided to write this chapter already, which actually had to be posted later, because I noticed that my book is getting kinda a little boring.

3rd POV

The two weeks have passed and that meant that today was the Chunin Exam day. Mitsuki, Sarada and Y/n had decided to pick up Boruto, which is not known how he had all of a sudden accepted to come. "then I'll see you later!" "bye bye otochan" The four of them waved at the little girl and then left.

They went to the place where the tournament would take. They greeted their friends and looked around "it looks like they've all arrived," Mitsuki said, "wow how many people... Do you think we're going to make it?" asked Y/n. "Of course! Remember: never give up!" Sarada reassured her cousin.

"oi Y/n-chan are you okay?" "Yes don't worry Boruto-kun" He noticed that the girl was staring at a trio of ninjas "are you sure there's nothing wrong?" "yeah yeah let's go I think the opening ceremony is about to begin"

She took the blonde and then Mitsuki by their wrists and said "Sarada-chan! Come on! I don't have another hand" She looked at her with a 'are-you-serious?' face.

"From this moment the first edition of the unified Chunin selection exam for the five villages begins.  As you know, this selection exam for the first time in history will be the joint participation of the five villages: the leaf village, the cloud village, the mist village, the stone village and finally the sand village. (I don't know if in English the 5 villages are called that)

In these times it's very rare to find the appointment to be able to directly confront the ninja of the other villages.  It is a more unique Chance that is rare for you to be able to make the most of the techniques you are most proud of.

All of you present here freely show off the fruits of your daily workouts!  The first part of the exam will be held in the Alfa exam room exactly at the stroke of midday. Until then, you are free to rest or finish your training.  Each of you can spend it as you wish.  You can go."

~Time skip: at the Lightning/Flash Burger~

"Where are Y/n and Mitsuki? They're late" asked Boruto Impatient "Let's wait for them, They will come sooner or later" Seconds later, two boys and a girl from the cloud village came to their table. "Can we sit down?" "I'm sorry but the place is for two of my friends," said the blond, trying to stay calm. "and where are these friends of yours?"

"They are not there now but" " the majority wins. We're three of you, so leave us the table" "I told you that my friends-" Sarada had noticed that the situation was deteriorating so she decided to intervene "um guys, sorry can you go somewhere else?" Her intervention was useless, the two did not want to listen, indeed they were staring badly at each other.

Finally came Mitsuki, who touched the shoulder of the boy with whom Boruto was arguing, making him a little afraid "and who are you!?". Before he could answer, something had taken the two boys. It was iron sand. Then someone appeared behind them.

Y/n's POV

I could hear from outside Boruto's voice, he was arguing with someone so I walked in. I activated my Sharingan and took some shurikens and kunais. "Stop it" Me and someone familiar said at the same time. "Why are you arguing here?" and I added "Boruto-kun enough." "Kun? Your girlfriend came to save you huh?"

I put a kunai under his chin and said angrily "as I said, stop it NOW" I gave him a 'shut-up-or-i-kill-you' face and removed the kunai. Everyone was looking at us, but I didn't care so much. "T-thanks guys" "Don't worry, Shinki is like this." with that they left.

"Shinki? Who's he...?" asked Boruto "Wait let m-" I cut off Sarada "He's the Kazegake's son, We met him some weeks ago, remember?" "Oh right! I totally forgot about it".

~Time skip: at 12:00~

"You're all there, aren't you? The first part of the Chunin selection exam consists of... a true or false quiz." "whaaaaaat!?"
"It will be held at the Examination Site of Bravo, 20 kilometers from here. Only those who manage to reach this place in an hour will be promoted. You'll have to go through a forest full of traps so don't let your guard down."

"Oi Boruto! Look, the stopwatch has already started" Sarada said. The others noticed, too, so we ran into the woods, leaving Uncle Sai without even letting him finish the explanation. There were a lot of obstacles, like hidden ropes, wooden robots (idk), shurikens thrown from all sides and other typical traps. But we easily avoided them and arrived at our destination.

"We've already spent a lot of time" "there's about 5 minutes left " Mitsuki added. I noticed that Shinki boy kept staring at me so I approached him and said "Do you even want an autograph?" (In Italy when someone stares at you, we say it) Then we left leaving him puzzled and confused.

"The three members of each team will have to move to the sign that indicates the answer they believe to be correct, or true, or false.  Whoever gives the wrong answer, that is, who is wrong, will all go black and be eliminated."  "will it go all black?"  "what does it mean?"

"Here's the question. In the fifth volume of the series of thrillers on the ninja strategist, the ninja slogan appears 'The moon refers to the sun' 'The mountain refers to the river' 'The flower refers to nectar'. Is it true or false?"

"What kind of questions is it!? I don't know nothing about it!!" i said panicking "Sarada... Do you know that book?"  "I read the series. But in the library there were only the first four volumes of the ninja strategist's stories. I didn't imagine that there was also the fifth book"

"Mituski how abou- so we just have to answer by deduction?" "Exactly." After discussing we decided to choose true. "The correct answer is... " Both true and false appeared on the screen, which caused confusion for everyone.

We fell into a puse of ink 'so with the phrase will it turn all black meant this huh?' I asked myself. Mitsuki clung on and took Sarada's hand which in turn took mine. "Boruto!" he was about to fall, but luckily he took the rope I throw at him. "The purpose of this test was not to give up"
