Chapter 1

A few years later...

It's been a few years since Rey and Ruben joined fairy tail and a lots happened since then. A new member named Lucy Heartfilia joined the guild and after that they had fought many enemies while gaining new members along the way. Both of the dragonslayers were currently headed to a forest for a mission they had taken from the guild. Their mission was to take down a group of bandits that had been raiding a nearby town. "Uggggh...how much fartherrrr?" Rey whined as they continued their walk through the forest. "Can you just shut up already?! Your getting really annoying!" Ruben yelled as a tick mark appeared on his forehead. "But we've been walking for hours! I'm really tired!" Rey continued to whine making Ruben even more angry than he already was. "Just shut up!" Ruben yelled kicking Rey into a tree. Ruben continued walking as Rey got up rubbing his face. "Owie. That really hurt Ruben! Your so mean!" Rey yelled at the older dragonslayer who continued to walk ignoring him. Rey ran at Ruben a blue flame around his hand. As soon as he got close he fell into a hole landing face first into the ground. "Owwww! That hurt too! Why'd u do that Ruben?!" Rey yelled looking up at the hole. "What are you talking about? I didn't do this." Ruben said looking down into the hole curiously. "Is there a tunnel or something down there?" Rey looked around and noticed that there were two ways. "Yep! There's two ways to go so come down and we can investigate! Like detectives!" Rey said with excitement in his voice. Ruben jumped down into the hole landing on Rey knocking him into the ground. "G-get off me." Rey said pushing Ruben down. "Well you shouldn't have been standing there." Ruben said as he got up and looked around. "Well which way should we go?" Rey asked looking at Ruben. "Maybe we could-" Ruben was cut off as he was knocked into the wall of the tunnel. "What the?! Ruben! Are you alright?!" Rey yelled as he got ready for another attack. "Yea I'm fine" Ruben said as he got back up preparing for any other attack. Once again Ruben was hit and knocked into Rey then both were kicked into the wall. "What the heck is going on? Why can't I see them?!" Ruben yelled angrily looking around. He was once again hit and fell to the ground. 'I'll just use my hearing to find them' Ruben thought to himself as he focused his hearing on the enemy. He heard footsteps moving very quickly towards him. As the sound was right in front of him he moved his fist forward punching his enemy in the face knocking him back. "Gotcha!" Ruben yelled charging at him. "How did you?!" The man yelled as anger showed on his face. Ruben tried to kick the man in the gut but he moved with incredible speed dodging all of Ruben's attacks. Rey jumped in to help by trying to punch him but the man moved quickly making him punch Ruben instead. "Oops sorry." Rey said as he turned to face his opponent again. "Stupid Rey." Ruben mumbled as they both went in for a double attack on him. The man stayed there patiently waiting for their attack to get closer. When they were both a few feet away he used his speed to jump over them both and kick them both in the back sending them face first into the dirt. "I'll be going." The man said as he disappeared with his incredible speed. "That guy is super fast. How are we gonna beat him?" Rey asked as he stood back up looking around. "We're dragonslayers Rey. We'll figure it out soon but for now let's search these tunnels." Ruben said as he began walking through the tunnel the man had gone down with Rey following behind. "Ruben how can u see?" Rey asked curiously looking at Ruben. "I can't." Ruben said smiling stupidly and forming a flame around his hand to make light. "There we go. Now let's get going!" Ruben said with excitement running down the tunnel. "H-hey! Wait up!" Rey yelled running after him both unaware that they were being watched through a lacrima by the leader of the bandits. The leader smiled evilly as he was prepared to take down both dragonslayers.
