Chapter 3

Ruben and Speedo stood there silently in their fighting positions studying each other trying to find an opening to attack. Ruben moved first as he found an open spot however once he attacked Speedo's stance changed and he kicked Ruben in the face. Ruben jumped back up punching him across the face then grabbing his arm throwing him at a wall. Speedo flipped and kicked himself off the wall heading back at Ruben. He slammed his head into Ruben's gut then gave Ruben an upper cut sending him into the air. Ruben flipped and sucked in an air of breath then sent a blast of fire from his mouth once again. Speedo quickly dodge the attack however Ruben was already behind him and kneed him in the back. They continued sending blows back and forth until one of them would give out. Ruben was then kicked across the face and falls to the ground. He slowly gets up but Speedo comes up and kicks him back onto the ground. "Stay down you stupid dragonslayer. Your no match for someone as fast as me." Speedo said placing a foot on Ruben's arm pressing down with a huge force. Ruben yelled in pain as he felt his arm break under the pressure. "I haven't...given up...just yet." Ruben said as he kicked Speedo back and stood back up his broken left arm at his side. Ruben formed a flame around his right hand as he stared at Speedo who was prepared to attack once again. Speedo disappeared with his speed and Ruben focused his hearing listening intently. Speedo appeared behind him and swung a punch however Ruben managed to dodge it quickly and countered by elbowing Speedo in the gut. Ruben then swung around and kicked him across the face. "Argh! You stupid kid! Just give up already!" Speedo yelled angrily and he punched Ruben in the face then kicking him into the dirt. "I'll end you here!" He yelled as he prepared to stab his hand straight through Ruben. Suddenly the door exploded as blue flames started coming through. Rey jumped into the room very quickly and punched Speedo knocking him away from Ruben. "I'm done with your silly bandits. Now it's time for you to face me." Rey said as he smirked excitement showing in his green eyes. Anger flashed through Speedo's eyes as he was furious with how the dragonslayers wouldn't die. He ran quickly towards Rey pulling his arm back preparing to stab Rey. "I'LL KILL YOU!!!" He yelled as he swung his arm forward. Rey barely dodged the attack his shirt getting slightly cut. He elbowed Speedo in the back of the head sending him into the dirt unconscious. Ruben got back up looking at Rey amazed and shocked about how powerful the young dragonslayer has become. "Well well well. It seems that I must now step in to deal with you two myself." They heard the leader say as he stood from his chair. Rey and Ruben got in a fighting position next to each other. "We'll take him on together. Got it?" Ruben said as he stared at the leader. "Right but I don't think he's as powerful as he says he is." Rey whispered to Ruben as he studied the leader intently. They both charged towards him at the same time prepared to do the same attack at once. The leader just stood there quietly as they both came towards him. As both Ruben and Rey punched him he just smirked at the both of them. "I'm not a real human. I'm an allusion created by someone who has studied Zeref's Magic. Since you both punched me I'll now explode." He began to glow brightly blinding both dragonslayers and then exploding knocking both dragonslayers through the ceiling and back onto the surface. They both laid there unconscious and injured badly.

Few hours later...

Rey had regained consciousness and sat up looking around the dark forest with only the full moon as light. He got up and looked over at the still unconscious Ruben. He lifted him up and limped his way back into the town to meet up with their client. Ruben regained consciousness halfway back and they claimed the reward for defeating the bandits. They saw the magic council had sent the army to arrest the bandits and were being transported to the prison. Both of the dragonslayers arrived back in magnolia after suffering a horrible ride in the train due to their extreme motion sickness. They decided to head back to their home instead of going to the guild. Unaware to them and fairy tail there was a new enemy on his way to magnolia who was ready to bring destruction and death to the entire town. "Get ready Rey Xclair. I'm coming for you and you guild fairy tail." The mage said as he began laughing evilly while sitting up on a hill over looking the town. This was the beginning of something that neither the dragonslayers or fairy tail were prepared for.
