Chapter 5

I entered a forest just outside of Magnolia still dragging the two with me. As soon as I reached the cave that I chose I tied them both together and chained the rope to the wall. I needed to acquire the other dragonslayer who was Rey's companion. He'll for sure be trying to search for them when he notices they aren't present. I decided to wait till morning before I set out to capture him.

The next day...
Normal P.O.V

Ruben was headed to the guild hoping to find Rey as the young dragonslayer never returned home. He walked into the guild asking around if anyone has seen him. Nobody knew where he was which made Ruben suspicious because Rey wouldn't just disappear like that without telling anyone. "Where could he be?" Ruben asked himself as he walked out of the guild to search the town. Ruben stopped when he noticed a few people working on a small shop that he recognized. "What happened here?" He asked one of the workers fixing the shop. "Well the shop was destroyed by a boy with incredible magic power. He also dragged away a blue haired girl and a black haired boy who looked similar to him." The man explained. Ruben nodded and thanked him for the information. Ruben began thinking as he walked off to let the worker finish his job. "So Rey was taken. Along with a blue haired girl? Hmm. Wendy?!" Ruben yelled and panicked. "Where could he hav-" Ruben cut off his sentence as he picked up both of their scents along with a third one that was similar to Rey's. He began following the scents into the forest and they began getting stronger. As soon as he thought he was close he heard thunder and rain began pouring down blocking out the scents. "Dang it!! Stupid rain!!" Ruben yelled angrily as the rain plastered his hair to his face. He continued walking hoping that maybe he could find them without the scents. He jumped out of the way as he heard an attack coming his way. He barely managed to dodge it as it exploded a boulder into pieces. "What the-?! That was a lot of power!" Ruben yelled shocked out the power of the attack. "Well of course. I am a dark mage after all." A voice said as a boy around age 15 walked into view. "Who are you?" Ruben asked as he stood up staring at the boy in front of him. "I'm Drake. Drake Xclair. Rey's older brother." He said smirking as an aura of black flames surrounded him. "R-Rey's brother?!" Ruben yelled with shock then narrowed his eyes. "Where's Rey and Wendy?" Drake laughed a bit then smiled evilly. "None of your business." He said walking slowly toward Ruben. Ruben took a step back nervously as a little bit of fear went through him. "Tell me!" He yelled. "You'll have to beat it out of me first you disgrace of a dragonslayer!" Drake yelled as he punched Ruben sending him flying through a bunch of trees. Ruben stood up already scratched and bruised. "I didn't think he was this powerful." He said to himself as flames formed around him. "Bring it on. Show me your power." Drake said standing there mockingly. This made Ruben angry and he charged at Drake head on. "I'll show you!!" He yelled as he tried to punch Drake who continued to dodge his attacks with ease. "Pitiful." Drake mumbled as he kneed Ruben in the gut and punching the back of his head sending him face first into the dirt. Ruben laid motionless in the middle of a small crater formed when he hit the ground. Drake smirked and lifted up Ruben heading up a hill that overlooks Magnolia. "This is the end for you. It's time for me to cause chaos. I'll destroy this world just as my father wants." Drake said staring down at Magnolia. He looked down at the small lake that was below him off the cliff. He lifted Ruben up and through him off down toward the lake. He landed in the lake and began sinking down to the bottom. Drake laughed evilly as he watched then looked back at Magnolia. "Get ready Magnolia because the son of Acnologia is coming to destroy you." He said keeping that smirk on his face.
