“Constance, c’mon we’re here.” I shook the female wizard awake and we quickly dismounted from the train.
“Ugh, why does it have to be so cold!” Constance yelled as she wrapped her arms around herself.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, I think it’s perfect.” I smiled at her.
“Man, it’s not just your magic that is cold.” I stuck my tongue at her remark. “Let’s get going to the municipal building so we can let them know we’re here and get warm!” She began to run in the direction of the municipal building that she got from the map that was hoisted up on a wall. It was awkward to watch her run as her entire upper body turned with the leg that she moved forward. I chuckled to myself and tried catching up to her and followed her when she ran into a building. “Warmth!”
“You’re such a child.” I mumbled.
She ignored my statement and went to the woman that was at the counter. “Hi, my name is Constance and that there is Nora, we’re from Fairy Tail to get rid of the dark guild problem.”
The woman looked up at her with a face full of annoyance and relief. Wait, is that even possible. “You guys were supposed to be here two days ago.”
“Yeah, we’re sorry about that. Some of the tracks leading into Seven were under maintenance so we had to wait.”
“Fine,” The woman pulled out a map. “Here is a map of the town and where we think those wretched beasts lay in hiding.” She pointed to a place on the map that had an x. “Oh and this came in this morning for you as well.” She gave Constance a letter which she put in her pocket.
“Thank you, we’ll start looking for them and will call for the Magic Council once we have them apprehended.”
“But…”
“Don’t worry, we got this!” Constance interrupted the woman, took the map, and walked out of the building. I shrugged my shoulders and began to follow her outside of the building. “Hey, I’m starved, let’s get some grub and go over our plans.”
“Sure, let’s go there.” I pointed to a warm and inviting restaurant and we began walking in that direction. We were quickly seated and I stared at Constance.
“What?”
“What did she mean we were two days late?”
“Oh well, I grabbed this four days ago and it takes two days to get here. Oh look a buffet!” Constance quickly removed herself from the table and went straight to the buffet. I bet she forgot she grabbed the mission. I grabbed my plate as well and went up and down the rows picking small things here and there. By the time I had gotten back, Constance was already munching on her plate.
“You forgot you grabbed that didn’t you?”
“Maybe.”
“Yes.”
“Fine, but let’s go over what we’re going to do.” She pulled out the map and laid it on the table. “So you could zip around, find their location, freeze them up, put them on a sled to the Magic Council, and we will be one mill jewels richer.”
I shook my head. “No, that’s not going to work. We’ll have to do this the slow way. If I zip around, I can cause an avalanche which will destroy this town and the neighboring ones. We’ll have to go on foot, well snowmobiles, and find their location that way.”
“Ugh, why do you have to be right about the stuff?”
“Well, let’s pay, get those snowmobiles and get this search going.” Constance nodded and put down some money and wrapped the map up and put it in her backpack.
“Snowmobiles, where are you?” Constance muttered. “There you are!” She pranced over to the man and promptly paid for two.
We both got on one. “Hey, wanna follow me. I think I have a feeling of where they are.” I offered and the purple haired girl followed close behind.
We had scoured the landscape for several weeks, maybe even months, we lost track of time out here, and found nothing. All possible hide outs that we have found have all been long gone and their purpose served.
“There’s nothing, where could they have gone.” I whispered removing the goggles that covered my eyes.
“I don’t know, let’s head back to town and see if anything has changed and at least figure out what day it is.” I nodded back to her and we made our way back to town and entered the municipal building.
“Thank goodness you guys are still alive. Have you found anything?” It was the same woman from before at the counter.
“Sadly no, we have a few ideas, but now it’s just a waiting game. Hey, how long have we’ve been gone?”
“About three months.”
“What?!” We both screeched. Three months? That means it’s almost time for the Grand Magic Games! We were going to participate this year! Guess that’s out of the window.
“Yes, the Games have already started.”
There was a strange rumbling coming from the ground.
“Is that an earthquake?” Constance asked.
“No, that’s an avalanche. They intend to bury the entire town!” I scream over the ruckus and ran out into the street and saw snow storming down the side of the mountain.
“Constance, I need you to slow it down. Can you reach from this distance?”
“Yeah!” A purple magic circle appeared under Constance and a blast could be heard in the distance. She was subconscious of her Blast Magic and didn’t like using it often.
Now it was my turn. My body glowed yellow and I quickly moved to the other side of town. Once on the outskirts of town, I turned to look at the town and went down to one knee. Good Constance slowed it down a little. I put my hands out, “Ice Make: Rampart.” I whispered and a large wall encircled the town halfway and rocketed up into the sky about thirty feet. That should be enough to save the town. I stepped back at looked at the wall as the snow crashed into it. All looked well and the town was saved. That spell always take up a lot of magic.
“Nora!” Constance yelled from behind. “You okay?”
“Yeah, almost out of my first vessel.”
“Well, we are in Iceberg.”
“I know.” I looked around and found some icicles hanging off the side of some buildings and began to munch on them to get my energy back. “C’mon, we’re going over the freeze these guys.” I was beyond annoyed. Constance stood next to me and I made an ice pillar to go over the top of the wall. Once over we saw a group of people huddled with cloaks at the base of the mountain. My eyes narrowed and I began running in their direction. My body being coated in yellow again.
“Nora!”
I ignored Constance’s call and sped my way to the group of Zeref followers.
“You, who do you think you are taking all of these people’s lives! How dare you!” I yelled at the group.
They were all shocked at my sudden appearance. “You will be a wonderful sacrifice.” One of them called and magic circles began to appear under all of their feet. Shadows appeared from underneath me and trapped my legs and arms. “Now!” One of the followers called and a magic circled appeared above my head. A large demonic arm began to push through the circle and make its way towards me.
“So this is what you did to destroy the villages. You created a demon and summon it to kill. Well, demons can’t kill devils.” I whispered. The shadows soon froze and broke. “You will learn the fate of living for an eternity by living the rest of your lives encased in ice.” I whispered and flicked my wrist, instantly freezing all of the Zeref followers. But that still left the large demon coming through the magic circle. “Damn, I thought the circle would go too.” A large blast came from above and there was Constance at my side.
“You know, I hate running.” She mumbled.
“I know, hey can you take care of Mr. Demon Arm here, while I round all these guys up?”
“Yeah, yeah do your thing.” Constance waved me off and she continued to blast the arm back into it’s magic circled.
I had created a large sled and begin moving the frozen bodies onto it. There was one final blast and the magic circle dissipated.
“Took you long enough, I even got all the bodies on the sled.”
“Well, it wouldn’t gone quicker if you helped.” Constance and I butted heads. “Besides how are we going to get over that giant wall you made.”
“I made a sled didn’t I? I’m gonna make a ramp, you idiot!” I bonked her on the head and threw her on the sled next to the frozen bodies. I jumped on the very edge at the front and created ice near the bottom so it would begin to slide down the mountain. As it continued going down, I kept pace with my ice and made a ramp to go up and over the wall and twist so it will slow was down. Constance began screaming in fear and held onto one of the frozen bodies to keep herself on board.
“I’m gonna kill you, Nora!”
“Not if I kill you first!”
The ride was a fast and fun one, for me anyway. As the sled slowed to a stop within the town, the Magic Council had surrounded the sled.
“Here you go boys, your murdering thieves all frozen in ice. Should make for easy transport.” I patted one of the Magic Council members on the shoulder and began to walk to the Municipal Building. The woman, wait we never got her name, who was always behind the counter had come up with two envelopes, she gave one to me and one to Constance.
“Thank you so much! Here is the money and you received another letter.”
“Another?” I questioned.
“Oh yeah, you gave us one when we first arrived!” Constance pulled out a letter from her jacket and it was from Romeo.
“Guys! They’re back! Big brother Natsu, Gray, Lucy, all of them are back!”
“They’re…back.” I blinked a few times before my body began to seethe with anger.
“Now, now Nora. If we left we never would of helped these poor people.”
“Open the other one. Now.”
“Uh right!”
The next letter was from Romeo as well.
“Hey, not sure if you guys got my last letter. We’re on our way to the Grand Magic Games. Hope you guys are there!”
My eye began to twitch. ”That’s it. Constance, we’re going my way.”
“Now, can we talk about this?”
“No, the games have started.” I grabbed Constance and my body glowed yellow. I zipped through the sky until we made it to the morning of the fourth day of the games.
