We had all arrived at the inn to relax after our eventful day. At least that's what we thought but of course....
"Say that to my face, you coward!" Natsu screamed at Gray, who was of course shirtless.
"Alright fine. I said I'm sick and tired of you preaching like a banshee. It's seriously harshing me mellow here"
"You looking to fight ice lips!?"
"Any time any place."
Eventually the two were physically at each other's throats and Juvia was of course being all lovey dovey and cheering Gray on. Though I'm not going to lie, seeing Gray flex like that. No Nora! Stop with the dirty thoughts.
"Knock it off you two!" Lucy yelled pointing at the boys.
I stood next to Lucy, slightly pouting. "Lucy you ruined my eye candy."
"You're what? Anyway! You destroyed the place once already, isn't that enough in one week?"
"Kill joy." Natsu and Gray stated.
At that point I ignored Lucy and hopped over to the boys. "Go Gray! Freeze the flame brain!"
"Natsu!" We heard Gramps call out. Looking over his face was red. Oh boy, drunken pops. "If you're fighting over that little squabble show the same fighting spirit as you did in the arena!"
"Seriously?" Lucy had tried getting Gramps to side with her which had actually 100% backlashed.
Members of the guild began to cheer on the two mages.
"You heard the old man, Gray. Get ready to cry." Natsu was getting fired up as his fist lit.
"Oh yeah? Let's see if you can make good on that little threat." Gray too was ready as the instant coldness around his palms had created a mist.
The two launched their attack and poor Happy was stuck in the middle.
"My bad." The boys spoke as Happy was calling for the police.
The boys were still going at it. Though, I couldn't find Constance any...oh wait there she is! Constance was actually just sitting in a corner?
"Hey, you alright?" I inquire.
"Yeah, just thinking of the good ol' times ya know?" I nodded my head. "Wish they were here to see this. You and your lovey dovey. I miss them."
"I miss them too. But we'll see them one day. One day the four of us will be back together. But we'll hold on to what we got."
"That's enough!" Erza yelled.
"Huh?" Looking up Gray and Natsu were slammed into one another.
Erza began giving them a pep talk and then it veered towards her ruined cake. "Now die with dignity!" Gray and Natsu both launched in the air to avoid Erza's flying sword.
"Nora save me!" Gray yelled.
"Hey leave me out of this!"
"Nora if you side with Gray I will have to take you out as well."
"Now Erza let's think rationally about this."
"Was there any rationality as to why my cake was destroyed!?" Erza raised her sword and it began coming down.
I caught the sword in mid air and began to freeze it solid. "I wasn't speaking about that. I was speaking about your rationality of taking me on."
Constance popped up next to Gray. "I think you should stand down now, Nora."
"I mean c'mon, a Fairy Queen versus the She-Devil herself? Please, devils eat fairies."
Both Erza and I growled at one another until we were disrupted by Gajeel. Finally he decides to appear.
"I did some more searching in that hole that lava head over here put me in."
Waving off Gajeel and Erza, I walked back over to Constance. I was too tired to deal with their squabbling. Though I might've woken up a little if me and Erza had decided to battle. "Hey, there was something else you were going to say before I was used as a meat shield."
"Huh? Oh it's nothing." I gave her a look. "No, I'm serious."
I let out a breath. "Constance, we've been through so much, you can tell me anything you know that, right?"
"Yeah, I know. It's just that I'm even having trouble coming to terms with it." I let the purple haired mage think over her next words. "I can hear them...like she did." I froze completely. No way. That's not possible. "I think when I had absorbed her powers, her gift was given to me as well."
"But, but, but..." I stuttered not knowing what to say.
"I think I'm going to sleep on it. It's late. I'll tell you more once I get this figured out." Constance patted my head before going up to her room.
Slowly standing up, I began to think over what my best friend had just stated, not paying attention as I had continued to walk forward. I was soon ripped from my thoughts as I bumped into a cool body that had held me upright.
"Hey, you alright?" I'd recognize that voice anywhere.
"Yeah, but it's not me you should be worried about." I spoke solemnly. I knew what had happened once before. It was not a pretty sight.
