"What if?" We always seemed to wonder
Until the other night, when something wonderful
happened
We talked again, and as mouths tend to do, they
opened.
Mistakes we made- some chances we didn't take
Like water, words poured out, more amount than compared to a lake.
"I miss you's", "I love you's", and "had this been's"
All opportunities that seem to spin
Inside our brains and grab our hearts
Thousands of reasons that sit inside of carts
[just] waiting to be transported to the other side of the world where we can no longer reach them
At least, that is, until they've developed through the season
To ignore them completely would be considered treason.
