I wanna build a betterness,
A comfy nest
For us to place our hearts in,
For us to take all parts in.
I want to show you everything that I can give and
more,But lately all the arguing has left me swole and sore.
I'm not impatient anymore.
I'm just sad and hopeful for the sun to shine,
And for you to actually be mine.
But your heart resides inside your chest
You refuse to put it in our nest,
Or my hands.
This wasn't my plan;
I only want to deeply love you,
But you don't think anything I say is true.
You're skeptical of me.
And honestly so would I be,
If I went through what you did.
But this is different we aren't kids,
Well, we are, but we're growing ones,
Armed with words and empty guns.
We like to use the scare tactics
And make each other seem frantic
About one thing or the other,
Why are we fighting if we are lovers?
