And the chill
Of a rainy fall night
As the light of day disappears
Nostalgic feelings tickle my ears
And my stomach
I see the rain sparkle
As the droplets sink to the ground
And I smell the beautiful marvel
Of the earthy scents around

Of an image bound to hunt me
Wherever I go
And wherever I roam
I feel this way on a rainy day
And when I need it most
It makes me feel connected to the world and to my soul
When I let the chill pervade my body
And let it sink inside my bones.
