"It's weird right?" Ben asked after we had all sat down again. "Now that we're all here, everything just comes back faster. You know, all of it."
"Yeah, you know when called me, I threw up." Richie said. "Isn't that weird, like I got nervous. Like sick and I threw up. I feel fine now, I feel very relived to be here with you guys. Why is everybody looking at me like this." I looked around and saw that everyone, including me, was looking at Richie in a weird way.
"When Mike called me, I crashed my car." Eddie said.
"Seriously?" Bill asked.
"Yeah." Eddie told him.
"Man I hear ya. My heart felt like it was pounding right out of my chest." Ben said.
"I thought it was only me." Bev told us.
"I um, threw up like Richie but I um, I fainted and fell down the steps." I said, pointing to the mark on my head.
"It was like pure f... f..." Bill began.
"Fear." Mike finished for him. "Fear, it's what you felt."
"Why'd we all feel like that Mike?" Bill asked. Mike looked to me.
"Ask your sister." He told Bill. Everyone looked at me. "She was always the best at story telling." Mike said.
"You both remember something we don't?" Bill asked.
"Something happens to you when you leave this town. The farther away the hazier it all gets. But me, I never left. And your sister well, she managed to stay in touch with three of you. Bill, Beverly, and Stanley. I think because of that, she remembers a lot of things the rest of you don't." Mike told them. "So yeah, we remember. I remember all of it."
"Pennywise." I said. All of them but Bev looked at me.
"Pennywise." She repeated.
"Oh, the fucking clown." Eddie said.
"Pennywise." Richie also whispered. We were all starting to panic.
"Mike you said you wanted our help with something, what is it?" Bill asked.
"There's an echo here in Derry. It bounces back, every 27 years." I started.
"Bree, what are you talking about?" Eddie interrupted.
"Just let me finish. We thought we had all stopped it back then. Well we thought it was done but, we're not." I told them. Mike started to flip threw a notebook he had.
"A week ago, Adrian Mellon slaughtered. A girl Alissa Albrick went missing. They are others and there will be more." Mike started to say, but everyone else was talking over him.
"Let them explain, let them explain." Ben was saying. Everyone quieted down.
"That echo, we might have changed it. Just like IT changed us. We didn't stop it, because it just bounced back. We made an oath. That's why Mike brought us back. That's why were here, to finish it. For good." I told them. "That oath, we didn't just make it to beat the clown, not just to avenge the victims, but to each other, and for....." It took me a second to think of who else, "and for the missing children who were killed." We all sat there until Richie broke the tension.
"Well that shit got dark fast." He said. "Thank's you two." Richie said.
"Haven't any of you wondered why you can't have children?" Mike asked. We all just sat there.
