it was a little random to get a call this late at night, especially since he thought he made it very clear what his plans were. the glass was cold against his palm and not even half way gone when he felt the phone vibrate in the back of his skinny jeans.

"what."

"wow okay, don't sound excited to see me." jimin said.

"we're on the phone, i can't see you." jungkook said. he sat up straighter on the stool and flicked away a stray peanut on the bars counter. a woman seemed to take an interest in him, smiling over and waving a manicured hand. jungkook just turned the other way and took another sip from the glass.

"whatever." jimin said, "i need to see you."

"that sounds scandalous, don't let yoongi hear you." there was a lack of humor in his tone that should've been there, and by the noise in the background jimin knew where his best friend was. the bar was a pretty recognizable place.

"meet me at leo's." that's the last thing he said before hanging up and leaving jungkook to grumble some profanities and leave some cash on the counter, downing what was last of his drink before walking out into the seoul streets.

leo's was a small pizza place down on the corner of an intersection where the traffic lights never seemed to work. there always seemed to be some sort of collision and curse words yelled out of windows. jungkook tugged his coat closer around him and made a dash across the street when it seemed to be a good time. only one taxi honked their horn.

"jimin. what are you on." jungkook wasn't amused to see his best friend sitting in one of the booths with the biggest grin on his face. there was something on his mind, there had to be, there was no way he could be this happy considering what day it was tomorrow.

"nothing! come on sit sit," he urged the moody younger to take a seat across from him, sliding into the booth and sighing. "i ordered you a milkshake."

"thanks."

jimin nodded, and he was still smiling goofily. "so, you'd say i'm pretty much the pro at watching television, right?" he finally started to explain why he dragged jungkook here this late at night.

"you don't do much else." jungkook said, but their was no energy to entertain this any longer. he just wanted to leave and go back to drinking his sorrows away. "jimin, what's going on? taehyung leaves tomorrow and i'd very much like to continue my date with depression."

jimin was still smiling, and it was starting to get creepy. this was his best friend too that was going to be leaving for another country, yet he seemed to be in one of his best moods. "i've seen this plot too many times, taehyung isn't going anywhere."
