WINNER 1: 8lydia14m99

I was tempted. The chance to be free of the hell I experienced every time I shut my eyes. Anyone would have jumped at the opportunity. But I couldn't. My dreams were different. I couldn't tell anyone about what happened inside my head. They wouldn't be able to help anyway, not really. They would strip me of my name, stamp me with a meaningless number, and leave me in a cell to be forgotten about.

Again.

I escaped first time, convincing myself I could make it on my own. Now I'm just facing my demons alone.

But I can't involve anyone. Not after what happened the last time. Her screams still echo in my mind, a constant reminder of the monster I am.

But then...

What if they could actually help? What if I could be free?

With a trembling hand I reached into my pocket for my phone and began dialing the phone number. A sudden chill ran down my spine, stopping me.
