Earth sat on his bed, leaning against the wall. He just stared forward, as he didn't have anything else to do with his time. He stared at the white walls, the white ceiling above him. His room had a window, but it was covered with white, thick curtains. They didn't open unless someone pressed the button that was located near the door of his room.

No one ever pressed it.

The other patients had to share their rooms, there were four patients in every room, but Earth had gotten a room for himself, and no one else. Everyone that he had shared a room with, had complained that Earth was creepy since he just stared at the walls without saying a word the whole day.

That's how he got his own room. Even though the room was slightly smaller than the ones the others had, but it didn't concern him at all. He liked it actually.

What did he think about when he stared at the wall?

Nothing. He didn't think about anything. Just, the wall.

It was like he tried to get to know the wall, trying to learn every possible dent on its surface, how the white paint on the concrete was thicker from some points, and thinner from the others.

He noted his room door opening, but he didn't even flinch a little to see who came in, nor what they possibly wanted from him.

"Hey Earth, let's go, everyone's waiting in the dining room." One of the nurses said. The nurse didn't seem like she much cared about her job. Her voice was flat. In reality, every worker sounded the same, but the time he had spent in this place, made him realize every little difference in someone's voice. He knew if someone was tired, happy, or sad.

Earth nodded and followed the nurse with his hands crossed behind his back.

He sat down in front of a huge cake, decorated with whipped cream, and something that looked like one of the flowers from his favorite movie. It was blue, a great contrast to the white he always saw.

It was his birthday. He turned 20, and was officially now a patient that had spent the longest time in this particular psychiatric hospital.

Earth didn't know his age precisely, just by counting the candles from his cake, he was able to see his age every year.

He never blew out the candles, someone else did for him.

It saddened him when he realized that Joong wasn't in the room to see him. Earth didn't blame him though, he would go to visit him into his room after he had eaten a small piece of cake to please the nurses.

After that was done, he got up and without thanking, he walked behind Joong's door and knocked on it. He opened the door, and stepped in. Joong was sitting in one of the corners, a book in his hands.

Earth wasn't able to see what the book was, since Joong put it down when hearing the door open. Joong got up and went to high-five Earth.

Earth didn't know why Joong was in this place. He had never asked, and he didn't see that it was necessary to know. It wouldn't change his friendship with Joong in anyways. Heck, Earth didn't know why he himself was there, but it seemed like some of the patients had some issues with self-harm, and some isolated themselves, so he figured that something in himself was wrong enough to be locked in there.

He had just kinda believed his reason to be locked up was his disability of cooperation with the nurses. He sometimes heard things at nights, but the nurses couldn't possibly know since he didn't tell about them, nor didn't know them to be special in anyways.

Even Alice went through some epic things when being asleep.

At least her dream didn't last. She dreamt in color, and woke up to see color.

Earth's dreams were white, and when he woke up, he was met with white walls.

His reality was as white as the white rabbit.
