"You sure you two are okay?" Batman asked as soon as they say on the steps outside of Elizabeth's house.

"I don't know. I'm still a little shaken up. I mean, I nearly killed the man!" Alexis whisper shouted as Elizabeth rested her hand on her best friend's shoulder.

"It's okay. As long as nobody else comes back, it's over." Elizabeth said as Alexis spooked at her and then looked back at the ground.

"Well, I can't exactly say that it's over. But for the moment, it is." Batman corrected as Elizabeth sighed. "How am I suppose to tell my Dad this?"

"I'm not sure." Alexis said before she looked at Batman. She thought it over carefully and cursed to herself because she knew she had no choice.

"Batman..is there any chance that... there's a spot left on the...team?" Alexis asked as Batman gave a short nod. Alexis sighed before she closed her eyes.

"I'll join. But only if Elizabeth comes with me." Alexis stated as Elizabeth looked at Alexis with wide eyes.

"W-Wh-What?! No! I-I can't! I'm not like you! I don't have powers like you!" Elizabeth said as Alexis smiled to her.

"It doesn't matter. You'll be safe though." Alexis assured as Elizabeth sighed and looked at her house. "I...I.."

"It's okay. I'll let you talk to your Dad. I know you don't want to leave." Alexis said with an assuring smile as Elizabeth nodded and smiled.

"Thanks for understanding, Lexi." Alexis nodded before she looked at Batman. "I'm ready. Is there anything I would need?"

"No. Everything will be provided. We just need you." Batman said as Alexis nodded. "Okay. Lizzy, when your Dad gets here, let him know what's going on."

"You got it."

"So what was the real reason why you wanted to join the team? Besides to protect your friend." Batman asked as soon as they took off in the Batmobile.

"You guys know stuff. You're the only ones that can help me find my dad. The police won't help, I'm not sure where to start, and one thing's for sure, I'm not sure how to track him. I don't have a phone number, a phone chip, or anything. I joined the team because I want to find my father. But when I find my father, dead or alive, I'm leaving the team. I'll help out any way I can with the team, but like I said, dead or alive, I'm leaving." Alexis acknowledged before she looked at him.

Batman sat in silence for a while before they approached an abandoned garage. Once parked, they hopped out and saw Green Arrow and Black Canary leaded up against a motorcycle, waiting.

"Arrow, Canary."

"Batman. I see she decided to join." Black Canary said as Alexis looked down at her feet. Alexis didn't exactly want to spill that she's only here to find her father, but she knew deep down she wasn't here to stay.

"She's a quiet little one, isn't she?" Black Canary said with a smile on her face. Alexis looked at her and smiled back before Batman approached her side.

"While she's with us, we'll investigate her father's disappearance. I promised I'd help her, so that's what I plan to do." Batman acknowledged to the two Leaguers before they agreed and the four of them walked outside to the telephone booth right next to the garage.

As soon as Alexis walked through the Zeta tube, she was meant by an overwhelming and fascinating feeling. She observed the structure of the mountain. She found it really hard to believe that this place was actually a mountain. It didn't have the features from the inside.

She felt safe. She felt at ease just like at Elizabeth's house, and she's only been here two minutes!

There didn't seem to be anyone in the room at the moment, so Batman, Black, Canary, Green Arrow, and Alexis approached further into the mountain.

"Is this what I think it is..?" Alexis asked as she walked towards the oval on the floor. Immediately at contact with the oval, it lit up and she saw a hologram in front of her that looked a lot like..

"Are they the team?" Alexis asked Black Canary as soon as she whipped around and saw her approach.

"Yes. But they are mere holograms. We use them as holograms to test their strength, knowledge, agility everything. But it's rarely used, considering everyone knows everyone." Black Canary said with a chuckle.

"Cool."

"Hey, Batman. I got your call. What's the-" Alexis heard as she looked towards the sound of the voice. And she could not believe what she saw.

"You have got to be kidding me." "Are you kidding me?" They both said at the same time.
