'Ok.', I said at last.
'I'm sorry', Anthony echoed.
'It's fine', I replied, irritated by his pitting tone, 'so when is it?'
'We can do it today if you'd like!', He answered, 'it's all set up upon your arrival.'
Again, another shock. Today was full of those. Relief, though, flooded through me as I realised I wouldn't have to wait in painful anticipation.
'I would just like to get it over with', i told him, indefinitely.
'Let's go' said the mystery female, and suddenly whipped around and headed towards the elevator. I speed walked after her, still not fully processing the information racing round my mind.
She pressed 'down' and the doors immediately opened and we walked in. She pressed a button and the doors slid closed.
'My name is Launi', she said abruptly, throwing me off guard, she actually spoke to me! My core started beating faster.
'Hi, I'm...' then trailed off as I realised I was being stupid, she already knew my name.
'Sorry, hi...' I was a bit stumped.
'I'm taking you to the Hospital floor, where your surgery will take place' she hesitated before adding 'it will be fine', and for the first time since I met her, she smiled! At me! A small smile but the effort was there. I smiled back but stopped when I realised I looked like and idiot, and she laughed! Softly but... god Kyle your being creepy, focussing on her every reaction! Just keep your eyes forward.
At last we reached the floor and I was rushed off to the Operation wing. The surgeon was nice to me. She was an Iron too and injected me with a liquid and told me to count to 10. I only got to 4 before the world went black.
