Sonic Boom: Sonic's New Adventure

An Action to Remember

(A few minutes ahead from before)

(Sonic and Niki darted back to the workshop and and Tails is jaw dropped by what happened. Sonic and Niki giggle and snicker due to Tails being shocked)

Tails: (struggles to find words) Eh... Uh... WHAT WAS THAT?

Sonic: I'll have to explain the team something.

Tails: (with one ear flapped) Ya think?

(All three walk into the workshop and the other part of the team is just lounging around)

Amy: So, how'd it go?

Tails: (in a happy tone) It actually went fairly well. Though she didn't pass one.

Amy: Mine?

Sticks: Mine?

Knuckles: Amy's....?Wait...

Tails: It was Knuckles's.

Knuckles: (fist bumps) Sweet! Wait that's bad right?

Tails: Okay... So she didn't pass one. 1 out of 5 that she didn't pass technically makes in other words that she passed the whole thing. If she had failed more than applied, then yes, she would of failed the whole thing.

Niki: (in thought) Then thank goodness I have the speed.

Amy: Wait a minute. So she even passed Sonic's?

(Tails doesn't know what to say, so he turns to Sonic in hopes that he explains)

Sonic: (sighs and with a numb voice) Yes, she passed my course. Um... (Nervously)... It turns out I.... have a sibling.

(The whole team is shocked and jaw dropped by the situation)

Sticks: She's your SISTER?

Tails: That's a low blow even for me... Neither of us knew about her, so how on earth-

(Sonic stops Tails in mid sentence by putting is hand up)

Sonic: (crosses arms and in a sad tone) It was when we left. Mom didn't know whether it would've been right to tell me or not, so she just kept it from me... From us....I know all of you are very confused and still so am I, but I mean it would be nice to have a sister.. (Looks at Niki with a smile) Heck. And it is.

Sticks: Okay, save the sentiments for later. Also how fast even is she?

Niki: Through testing, I'm actually 100 miles faster than Sonic.

(Sonic chokes on air)

Sonic: Excuse me! What?! I'm sorry, as much as you are my sister, there isn't in any way shape or form that you are faster than me.

Niki: (snarky) What's your top speed?

Sonic: 828, Why?

Niki: (whispers in the snarky tone) 928.

(Sonic's eye twitches)

Niki: Sorry, but I am faster than you, like it or not.

Sonic: But, but.. But..

Niki: Also let's get on original track here.

Sonic: Ugh. Fine. But again one issue.

Niki: What's the issue?

Sonic: Because I found this out. I don't really think it's a good idea.... To be part of the team.

Niki: (scoffs) Then what I am even here for? I've already proven that I am capable of being part of the team. So what's holding you back now?

Sonic: It's just.... I'm concerned that you can't protect yourself.

Niki: I can protect myself. Actually you know what. If I can beat you, in battling, (crosses arms) I can be a part of the team.

Sonic: Okay, fine then.

(The team then heads back outside and Sonic and Niki go to a blank area to where they can battle while the rest of the team stays next to the door where there is shade)

(Sonic and Niki are about 6 feet away from each other standing face to face with arms crossed. They are also both doing a snarky smile to each other)

Sonic: You sure you're ready for this?

Niki: Positive.

Sonic: Alright then. (Gets into a attack stance)

(Niki takes the first move by darting behind Sonic but then the screen just turns to the rest of the team for about 3 seconds and then it reverts back to Sonic and Niki, with Niki having pinned Sonic to the ground. She is kneeling on his back and has one of his arms bent kinda backwards on his back and his other hand in front of him. Sonic is squinting one eye due to the pain. As soon as a cloud of sand disappears the team is jaw dropped)

Tails: How in the-?

Niki: Told ya.

Sonic: Augh... (Out of breath) Man this hurts...

(Niki then let's go of his arm and then gets up off of him)

(Sonic then slowly brings the clenched arm towards the front of his body while he takes his other arm to bring him up on his his knees)

Niki: Soooo, am I apart of the team now?

Sonic: (still struggling to get up) Ugh... Fine you win.

(About 2 minutes later)

(The team at back inside and Tails grabs something from under a table and gently places the communicator on the table)

(Niki grabs the communicator and her eyes shine)

Niki: (jumping up and down) Thank you, thank you, Thank you!!

Tails: You're very welcome. It was already built for when we had someone else as a temporary figure... (Tails looks at Sonic with a sarcastic look when saying this)

Niki: Questioning, but okay!

(Niki then puts the communicator on)

Sonic: (arms crossed and confidently) Welcome to the team.

(Niki's eyes shine even more bright as the scene fades)
