We were waiting pattiently as the tv read the numbers backwards.

We screamed as the last was "1"
In the last number he cupped my chin and connected our lips. Our last and first kiss for the new year.
"Happy new year love" johnny said as i smiled widely.
"thanks baby. Happy new year to you too" i said as i hugged him tight.
"What was your wish John" i said remembering that all day today he kept talking about his 'wish'.
"You know what it was?" I nodded no.
"My wish was for you to be mine forever, i cant wait to spend the rest of my life with you. You're the one who always lights up up my day. Without taking it longer all i wanna say is....y/n....will you marry me?" He said with hopeful eyes sitting on his knee and taking a little box out of his pocket.
Tears were scrolling down my cheeks from happiness as i said 'yes'.
I hugged him tightly and we shared a deep kiss.
