Lucinda grabbed for her phone over on the bedside table, trying to reach while Brimstone's incredibly muscular arm was still around her waist.
It wasn't working, as the man refused to let go.
"You had a lead?" Lucinda yawned to him, and he gave a muffled sound, like protest or agreement. "That's not an answer," Lucinda said, struggling to reach the device. "We should give it to Iblis now that we're... done."
"I said, don't move," Brimstone repeated. Lucinda rolled her eyes before reaching again.
"Iblis's going to be concerned. I text her almost every two minutes." She replied.
"Maybe she'll be glad." Brimstone locked two arms around her waist, putting his chin on her bare shoulder.
Lucinda rolled her eyes in response. "One, I am not your chin rest, and two, who isn't happy to hear from me?"
"The quiet ones," Brimstone said. "Like Iblis."
She shot him a look, as she tried to reach for her phone again. When that didn't work, she punched his arm.
"You're letting all the cold air in," Brimstone grumbled.
"Aww, poor little baby. Can't deal with the cold." she mocked in response. He took it as a challenge, grinned wolfishly as he pulled her towards him. Lucinda yelped, shocked by how he actually used his strength.
"Iblis will be glad for the silence," Brimstone said in her ear, his grip keeping her next to him.
"She'll have both of our heads if we don't give her the info. Actually, she'll probably spare me. You? Maybe not."
"You are her second in command and supposed to know better." Brimstone countered and started trailing kisses down her exposed neck.
"That wasn't an invitation to do that!" she exclaimed.
"You like it." He muttered against her skin.
"Not when I have to get information to Iblis, do some looking into the rival gang, and work on my paper for psychology."
"But it's so late. No one will notice." Brimstone complained, still kissing the sensitive skin.
"I do all my work at night. I have to write a ten thousand word essay."
"Don't worry about it. I'll help you."
She raised an eyebrow. "And what do you know about psychology?"
"More than you think."
"Don't you dare give me a hickey. I will kill you. Plus, I'm not going to show up to my class tomorrow with a hickey." Lucinda informed him.
"You're no fun."
"I'm not supposed to have a boyfriend. I told them-" Lucinda paused, not wanting to continue.
"You're saying you actually have friends outside the gang?" Brimstone asked incredulously. "And here I thought Hunter and Iblis were your only friends."
"Yeah, I have other friends. Unlike you guys, I actually have a life outside the gang." Lucinda snapped back. "I need to get dressed, Brimstone."
"It's literally midnight," Brimstone complained. "Just sleep."
"And I literally have a lot of work to do." She retorted.
"Don't leave." He whined his iron grip setting in.
