"Did you find anything yet, Hunter?" Brawler asked as he sat down in Ember's swivel chair. Lucinda leaned casually against the door frame, the hardwood digging into her back.
"Ember's not gonna like that." Was the only thing he said.
"Ember doesn't like anything," Lucinda muttered. "I need you to send me the information so I can send it to Iblis."
"Did Brimstone not give it to you?" Hunter questioned.
"Brimstone's an asshole, so of course he didn't." she decided to sit down in Brawler's seat. "Where is Ember, by the way?"
"That is a very good question. Something about a rival gang? I don't know." Hunter chirped. For a man with a bloody and dark sense of humor, he was always very chipper.
"Brawler, I need to speak with Hunter for a moment," Lucinda told the wrestler. When Brawler didn't move she rolled her eyes. "Alone."
"Fine. I'll go and find Ember." He muttered in annoyance.
"Thank you," Lucinda smirked. Once the large man left, her smile dropped.
"Well, what can I do for you?" Hunter sighed, twirling a lock of hair around a finger.
"I need you to give me all the information on this drive. Where it's from, when it was made, who it belongs to. And while you're at it, I need information on this man." she took a flash drive and a manilla folder out of her bag.
"You usually do your own homework. What's different about this one?" Hunter noted.
"No questions, Hunter. Also, this stays between us. None of the others need to know about this."
"That sounds suspicious. Will I lose my job, and most likely my head, doing this?" Hunter asked sarcastically.
"Probably not. Can you do it or not, Hunter?"
"I can do anything," Hunter assured her, his arrogance showing. "Just give me a second."
"I don't have any time to do it right. I have a psych paper due soon." Lucinda told him.
"And you didn't start it? I'm horrified at your work ethic." Hunter muttered.
"Be horrified later. Work now." Lucinda ordered.
"Hey, Luci?" Hunter inquired as the woman started to get up.
"Yes?"
"What do you want me to do with this once I'm done?"
"Give it to me, and we never speak about this again."
"Sounds good," Hunter muttered.

Ares wasn't really sure about what had made him text back the detective with 'yes' but he was mad that he had.
Like most things when it came to women, Ares wasn't exactly the most observant of men. He felt awful though.
The things that she'd said made him realize a few things about himself.
One was that maybe he should lay off with Darcy for a while.
Or get a new hobby, one that wasn't solely based around pissing her off. But that was too much work.
Maybe he could start with Kyana, or Mariella, who had very obvious buttons to push. Or he could just stop pissing people off and start knitting.
But what was the fun in that?
The finger workout could be helpful, one part of his brain chided. I hear that knitting is a good way to relieve stress.
