38: Lost of Heart

MAAGANG nagising si Amber sakanyang kama na katabi ang kanyang kasintahan, all day and all night, she tried loving him passionately, sleeping with him,  but the excitement and the happiness, or even the chemistry wasn't there for her anymore.

she stood up from the bed as Maxein sleeps peacefully, agad siyang pumunta sa banyo upang mag ayos. she decided to take a bath to freshen or even just ligthen up her mood, everything was heavy, she felt like nothing can lighten her mood up.

as she took the steamy shower, her mind just flashbacks of the times her and Maxein was happy, the time na may nararamdaman pa siya. 

pero that time kahapon ng umaga, ng marinig niya ang boses ni Bea mula sa kabilang linya habang kinakausap niya si Maxein, she didn't felt a single damn thing, she felt nothing. she didn't care about her husband being with Bea anymore, in fact, she doesn't care about him.

her feelings are gone. truly gone.

as she got out of the shower with her bath robe on, Maxein smiled and went to her. ''goodmorning, my beautiful soon-to-be wife.''Maxein smiled, he kissed her cheek as Amber forced a smile and tried hugging Maxein.

''goodmorning, my handsome... Maxein.''that's all Amber can say, that's all the words she can pour out.

''is my lovely wife... excited for our wedding?''he asked, as he holds her cheeks with both of his hands, staring deeply into her hazel eyes.

''yes.. but..no.''Amber answered, medyo nanlaki ang mata ni Maxein ng marinig niya iyon.

''hey, what's wrong? you've been so down lately?'' Maxein asked, Amber forced a smile once again, kahit mahirap ay kailangan niyang bigyan manlang ng respeto at oras ang lalakeng minsan na nagpasaya sakanya.

''scrap the fancy wedding, i want a simple one, in a church, you and me, our friends, that's all. just.. straight up exchanging our vows and getting married.''Amber said.

she thinks that if she marries him everything will go away, maybe she'll fine her love for him again, maybe she'll be happy with him. just maybe, she needs to try.

''i'll call the wedding planner, okay? if that's what my beautiful... Amber, wants.''Maxein said, hinalikan niya ang noo ng babae at umalis na sa harapan nito, leaving Amber some alone time to dress up for herself.

12am, Amber went to the garage, kung saan nakalagay ang dating kotse ni Maxein na pinaka iniingatan niya sa lahat, the old mercedes red car that held so much memories for the both of them.

she went inside the car, turned on the AC and held the wheels infront of her, hindi niya mapigilan ang sakit na nararamdaman niya, she tried everything to get her feelings back for Maxein, pero walang nangyayari.

her tears rolled down, as she holds the wheel and touch every part of the car, reminding of the sweet memories together with Maxein, she opened a mini compartment on the front where their photos lived, the memories, the keychain, the mini accessories that has been left in the car for so many years.

''Oh dear lord!!!''

napasigaw si Travis nang makita niya sa loob si Amber, kanina pa siyang may naririnig na naglalakad, at biglang bumukas ang garage room at ang kotse ni Maxein, kaya napag isipan niya na tignan kung ano man lahat ng iyon.

''Amber? what are you doing there?''Travis asked, instead of a shocked face, he looked at Amber with poker face and sighed deeply, pumasok siya sa loob ng kotse at tinignan ang babaeng umiiyak sa tabi niya.
