Apollo high, located in the heart of Athens. Home of many students. Rather than most high schools, Apollo high has a vast array of dorms. Some no bigger than a bedroom. Some as large as two bedroom apartments. Any student at Apollo high stays in these dorms. Money only depicts the size.
Two brothers, same build and hair color, had just arrived at their class. Their only class really. John and Joe were their names. John was skinny and slightly taller than his athletic younger brother. They tended to pick on each other quite often. Including the occasional prank war.
They entered the door way at the same time, slipping through with ease. The teacher, Mr. Murmos as his ID read that hung from his collar, smiled and waved the two closer.
"Welcome Welcome! Kalōsórisma!" John laughed at the man's joy while Joe attempted to respond to the Greek.
"Uhm. Ypàrchei mia aráchnī sto máti sas." Joe waited in silence for the teacher's response. About a minute passed before both the teacher and John cracked up laughing hysterically.
"Bro I'm pretty sure his eye is spider free." John punched Joe in the arm playfully. Though Mr. Murmos also had a reply, he was still laughing far too hard to even breath. John walked behind the desk and patted the teacher's back several times to calm him.
Joe, whose cheeks had taken on a bright shade of pink, had started walking to a desk to hide himself. He decided to sit towards the back, rather secluded. Joe began pulling out things from his bag when he saw a pair of black hightops standing in front of him. Slowly, raising his eyes catiously, he saw the owner. A rather pale kid, black hair throwing off the light appearance, emerald green eyes brighter than most gems. He stood a bit over five and a half feet tall. Joe was slightly dazed.
"Is this seat taken?" He asked rather monotonous. He was pointing at the seat next to Joe. Joe nodded slightly as he snapped out of his distraction.
"I'm Joe. And your name?" He asked rather curiously. The boy looked at him over his shoulder as he set down his bag.
"Sam. Now please. Let me listen to my music." Sam sat as he spoke and popped in his headphones. John came over a few moments later and nodded at the black haired boy. He turned his attention to his brother when Sam gave an icey glare at him. John's forest green eyes met his brother's unnaturally orange ones.
"Trying to flirt again?" John crossed his arms and frowned disapproving. "I warned you about forcing yourself on others." Joe lowered his gaze to his desk before closing his eyes. John sighed and sat infront of his brother.
"You'll find em Bro. I'm 17 and single. So you got time." John smiled reassuringly. Joe looked up and rolled his eyes annoyed. He had gotten dumped a few days after moving to Athens. He didn't blame his ex. But it was a crude breakup. They had argued for three days straight. Only breaks were the few hours of sleep Joe snatched when he could. They had broken up on day two. But it kept going well into day three. Ever since the incident, John has done everything he can to keep his brother from hurting himself physically.
"Students! Let us begin!" John, Joe and Sam looked around confused. They heard this was the smallest class, but there was only them! Three kids in one class was awfully weird.
The day went by rather quickly. John and Joe sat by the statue enjoying a couple sandwiches. They didn't want to head to their dorm just yet. The day was just too nice to be inside. Well they thought it was. The weather had suddenly taken a turn for the worst.
The wind howled. Rain poured like a waterfall. Lightning lit the skies, and thunder boomed behind it. John and Joe both sprinted for the school, seeking refuge from the down poor from no where. They quickly went inside to escape the elements. They watched in wonder and confusion.
"Were they predicting rain today?" Joe asked while still watching. John was in shock. The day was sunny. Not a cloud in the sky. And then this storm ! This storm that seemed natural. But yet so unnatural. John finally snapped out of his daze when he received a small peck on the cheek. He looked at his grinning brother in shock and anger.
"What in the hell was that for?!" He growled slightly as his face turned crimson. Joe laughed and rolled his eyes. John huffed, trying to cover his blush.
Both boys let out a relieved sigh as the rain stopped and the wind calmed.
"Think its over?" Joe asked as he opened the door slowly. John followed rather closely. His eyes instantly looked up at the pitch black clouds that still blocked out the sky. Both boys jumped out of their skin as a lightning bolt struck nearly ten feet away. Both of them bolted back inside, panting heavily.
"What in the hell?! That was so close!" Joe was gasping for breath as he sat against one of the walls. John came over and gently hugged his brother to calm him.
"T-That sounded like it hit something," he breathed out after a while. John nodded and got up to look. He screamed at the sight. Joe shot up and covered his own mouth.
"T-the statue....."
"ZUES YOU IDIOT!!!!!!" Both boys spun around to see Mr. Murmos behind them. The teacher barged past the students and searched the rubble of the Apollo statue. John and Joe joined him. After a few minutes Mr.Murmos sighed.
"Zues you fucken dumbass." Both boys looked at the teacher shocked.
"Mr. Murmos. Why are you swearing to Zues?" Joe asked curiously. Mr. Murmos glanced back and nodded.
"Boys. Come with me. Its not safe out here." He lead both Joe and John back to his room.
