The Unknown Child

Chapter fourteen

Peter's pov:

I lie in this bed and I can hear everything being said to me. I've been trying open my eyes and speak to let them know I'm here. I wonder how long I have been out. I want to be there for my little sister. I was listening to Sven telling me about how Karma is becoming a bridezilla. I just wanted to laugh. I can totally see that. I hear the door open and footsteps walking closer to the bed. Karma spoke up first, she asked when I should be waking up. So I'm guessing the doctor walked in. I hear a mans voice say it could be any time now. Damn, why can't I just open my eyes. I want to see my brothers, my father, and little sister. Ugh!! Why can't I just move and open my eyes!?

Karma POV:

I'm laying in the bed next to Peter and I'm reading a book. When I heard him groan. I jumped up out of bed and ran to the hall calling for the doctor. He comes running over asking if I'm okay. I yell he just groaned. I think he's waking up come quickly. I grab his hand and basically drag the doctor into the room. I walk back into the room and see Peter awake. I squealed. I let go of the doctors hand and ran to him. I climbed back into the bed, hugged him and cried. I was so excited to see my brother awake. He rubbed my back to calm me down. I settled down, took my phone out and called dad. Fifteen minutes later dad and all the guys came running in including Sven.

Dad's POV:

When I got the call from Karma I was expecting her to say there was a set back with Peter. When she told me Peter has woken up I was excited. I yelled for all the boys. They came running to me. I informed them that Peter has woken up. Paul was relieved to know his twin was okay. Paul ran to the car and started to beep the horn. We come out of the house and he yells aren't you coming? Hurry!! We chuckled at him some. Yes we missed Peter but this was his twin. About 15 minutes later we park the car, and Paul darted out of the car and ran inside. We followed suit. He was looking good. His body has healed nicely. The doctor did a great job stitching him up. I walk up to the doctor to talk to him.

Doc - Doc, Leo Sr. (Dad) - D

D: So doc when can I bring my boy home?

Doc: You can take him home in about 2 hours. I want to run tests just to be certain that he is stable enough to leave. Due to him not being mobile for 6 months. His legs will be weak for some time. Just work with him he will gain his strength.

D: Okay, we will keep him moving. Thanks Doc.

Doc: Well I will get these tests done.

D: I will leave you to it. Thanks again doc.

Doc: Any time Boss.

The doctor walks over and draws blood, checks the reflexes and heads out of the room. Saying well I'm gonna drop this at the lab, and I'm gonna finish my rounds. Have a good night Boss, family. With that he nods his head and walks out. I look over at Perer and ask him if he is ready to go home?

Paul's pov:

Father is talking to the doc about sending Peter home. Karma is talking Peter's ears off. He is just sitting there listening to every word she says. She doesn't know this, or maybe she does but she has everyone wrapped around her finger. We cherish the ground she walks on. She has not left his side other than for the necessities. She is getting married in a few short months and she is looking forward to having a dance with all of us. So Peter waking up has her excited. Having her know that her family is safe has put her at ease.

Karma's POV:

We finally leave the hospital with Peter. He has to be in a wheelchair just to leave the hospital. Something about hospital rules. I wouldn't let anyone push him but me, and no one dared to stop me. I have become a mother hen I guess you could say. I make sure all the boys eat healthy and take care of themselves. I don't know what gonna happen once I'm married and moved out. Who is gonna take care of them? I'm gonna have to find someone for dad. Before the attack I was talking to this nice lady, maybe she would be a good fit. Only one way to find out. I believe she is in Sven family. I'm not 100% sure if she is his family or mafia family but this line of work the mafia is you family. When we get home I will talk to Sven. We make it to the hospital entrance and we help Peter into the black SUV. We arrived home and dad helped Peter inside and helps him walk over to the livingroom sofa. I ask him if he is hungry and before answers I run into the kitchen. I'm moving around the kitchen and gathering all the ingredients for my homemade chicken and dumplings since he loved it so much last time I made it. I know how to cook but I don't do much of it since dad has a chef. I know I could just give my recipe to the chef to make, but this is a family recipe and I'm not giving it up. Sorry not sorry! I moving around making dinner while the guys are in the livingroom talking and watching sports. I'm glad I have my family full again. Dinner is just about done so I holler for one of the boys to set the table while I'm just finishing up dinner. Theo enters the kitchen, walks over to the cabinetry and grabs the dishes we would need. Theo then walks to the table and sets it, then he asks me if he should do anything else. All I say is go help Peter to the table and tell everyone dinner is ready. "You got it boss." He Chuckles out and leaves the kitchen. Moments later they enter and we all sit down and enjoy the dinner as a whole family.
