Chapter twenty one

Leo Sr POV:

(Charles - C)

C: Mr. Santiago or should I say father?

Hearing him call me father caught me off guard, not so much that he called me father but because could I be his father? Don't be mistaken i will be there for him if he would want that. Yea money may be important but nothing will ever be as important as my kids and family. When my wife died I'm gonna be honest here I did have a hard time with it and turned to one night stands. I did use condoms on most of them. I know, I know I should have used them for all one night stands, but just think then I wouldn't have my princess. So in a few cases I'm okay with it. I sit in front of Charles. We have a stare down before I decide to break the silence.

D: How can you be certain that I'm your father? Not saying I wouldn't love to have another son, because I would. I have questions for you. One more important than the rest. And I'm sure you have many questions for me. First question why did you attack us, if you claim to be my son?

C: Well there are many reasons. One, I guess you could say I was jealous or selfish because you took in three other kids, in which two where not yours. But you couldn't take me in and be in my life. Two, you were stealing my business away from me. I'm just trying to make a living and to pay and support my gang. Three, I was hurt. I guess you could say number 3 goes along with number one. Now my questions. Why didn't you try and find me? Didn't you care about me at all? Why would you just leave us? Mother and I.

D: Well I'm sorry you feel/ felt that way. I'm sorry that all this went down this way. But to answer questions for you. I didn't know about you to even start to look for you. To be honest no I didn't care about you because I didn't know of you. But that all changed when I found out about you. I was never in a relationship with your mother, she knew she was a one night stand. I get that doesn't make anything easier on you to hear that. I was going through a hard time losing my wife durning child birth that I turned to having one night stands. As for your business, I'm sorry but business is business. When I was taking your clients it wasn't because I knew about you and wanted to hurt my child. It was because you at those times were just my competitor. And I was looking to take you down. As of now if you want you can join in this family or you can keep the one you made. Though know if you chose to join this family I will be in charge of the mafia and joined gang. I will not give that up, and step down. Not only that but Leo Jr. is next to take the thrown in the family business. If you choose not join the to together and keep your gang. I will back off of your clients as long as you don't try to over throw mine. I have no problem putting anyone in their place. And that doesn't mean killing either, but if you ever cross me just be warned.

C: I wouldn't mind joining the two but I would have to talk with my members. Yes I have final say but I can't make them join in with your family knowing how they might feel being under someone else's rule. When they have been under mine since the beginning. Now how are the others gonna take it if I would merge with your family?

D: Well to be honest I don't know. But I know they may feel a bit hesitant about it in the beginning. You did or your men did after all attacked us and shot two of your brothers. Nearly killing one of them. Now I have one more question, and I know this might sting. But are willing to get a DNA test done to prove you are my son?

C: I will agree to that pending they will not retaliate against me for the attack. I'm sorry I was being childish. When your hurting on the inside there are many different ways it may show. And for that I'm sorry. And I don't say sorry often.

D: Okay, I will show you to the hospital wing now and we can get this test done. Do understand that I didn't have one with Karma do to the fact she looks exactly like me but in a female form. She definitely has my side of the jeans. Though before I met her there was gonna be a DNA test done. I'm not trying to hurt you more. I just needed to tell you this so you understand. So are you ready to go get this done?

C: I understand and yes I'm ready. Let's go.

(Still Leo's POV (Sr.))

We are on our way to the hospital wing and I call in my mafia family doctor. He is the only one I want and trust to preform the test. We walk in and he is ready and waiting for us. Doc how long will this take for the results?

Doc: About 24 hours but because it is you I can have it in 3 hours. I will put yours under stat.

D: Thanks doc. Let's get to it. Oh and by the way what is this appointment for? You know the one about my daughter tomorrow?

Doc: Sorry boss but I was told I can't say anything to anyone about it. That it was for Sven and Karma to tell people. Sorry.

D: Normally I would make you tell me but I will let this slide just this once.

We had our blood drawn and left the hospital wing. I walked Charles to a guest room for the night, but I put two of my guards at his door. I just need to be sure that this is for real and not a set up. I walk over to my closet and grab my night clothes and change. I'll grab a shower in the morning. And with that said I say good night.
