Chapter six

Finding the family

Karma's POV:

It has been a week since I started or should I say we started the search for my father and brothers. This is turning out harder than I thought. Who am I kidding I knew this was gonna be harder than I thought. Even Max and Jake are having a bit of trouble finding them. Yeah, yeah I know it has only been a week, but I need to find them. Sooner rather than later. Though I want to spend as much time with my mom before the Lord takes her to be one of his Angels. I really don't want to live with her lawyer friend until I find my dad. So I take about 2 hours a day searching for my dad, while the rest of time I spend with my mom. Max, and Jake have it covered. They continue to search while I spend the quality time with my mom. Have I ever said how much I love those guys!?

Mom - M, Karma - K

M: Karma, any luck on finding them?

K: No not yet. But the guys have it covered. I want to spend as much time with you before you have to leave me. I love you momma. So change of topic. What movie would you like to watch?

M: Baby, any would be fine as long as I'm with you. But if I had to pick I would say The Lion King because that was your favorite movie growing up. I never really understood why you were not into the whole princess movies. But I never discouraged you from any of it. I wanted you to be you and no one else.

K: Wow mom, what can I say, but thank you. But on a different note. If you set up the movie I will go make the popcorn and grab us drinks, so we can start this movie. Oh don't forget the blankets.

M: I won't forget the blankets. I know it is snuggle time with you when we watch a movie together.

K: Mom, that's because I love spending time with you. Other than Max and Jake you are my true bestfriend. And always will be. Now lets get this movie night under way.

As I walk to the kitchen to grab drinks and make popcorn. I get to thinking I'm really gonna miss this. I start to tear up, trying not to let the tears shed. I gather the popcorn and drinks and head back to the livingroom. Mom right away seen my puffy eyes and she spoke up "Come baby girl, don't cry for me. I know your sad, but just think here or there on the otherside I will always be with you! I love you." Mom said to me. I sat the drinks and popcorn down on the coffee table, I sit next to mom on the couch and snuggle up to her. We pull the blanket up onto us, and she hits play on the remote. Movies later to be exact we were watching Dumbo, and I was just about asleep snuggled up to my mom. When we heard the doorbell ring. Mom got up and placed the blanket back over me. She walked over to the door looked through the peephole and opened the door. Remember we have a small enough apartment where I could see the door. When in comes a man and 5 young men. I sit up right away. Not knowing who they are because well I don't have pictures of my father or brothers. I ask mom "Mom, who are these men?" "Well baby this is your father and I'm assuming these men are your 5 older brothers." She replies back to me. I get up and walk over to them and wrap my arms around my dad. It took him a second to realize what was happening, but he wrapped his arms right around me. Mom cleared her throat and told us to come sit down, so we could all talk. I grab dad's hand and basically drag/pull him with me to the livingroom couch. I had him sit and I sat on his lap. Yes, I sat on his lap. I maybe 16 but I wanted to be close to my dad. Yeah I know I could have just sat next to him, but that's not the same. And I started firing of questions.

Karma - K, Dad - D ( you get the point for all the rest) but for Paul - P, and Peter - Pe (this will go for all conversations that they will partake in.)

K: How did you know about me? How did you did you find me? How old are my brothers? Where do you live? Can I stay til mom passes? Are you gonna take me away when mom goes?What about my bestfriends? I can't leave them. What about school?

D: Whoa, whoa there one question at a time there princess. To answer you questions in order. I found out about you the night you went to my club. Your brother had seen you and thought you look a lot like me. I have my ways to find people. That would explain another time. Boys raise your hand when I call you so she knows. The ages of your brothers are as followed Leo Jr. 22, John 21, the twins Peter 18 who is older by 3 minutes, the his twin Paul 18, Theodore 17 but he likes to go by Theo. We live in New York same as you, about 30 minutes away from here. Of course you can stay with your mom until she passes. I would never dream about taking my children from their mothers. Your mom is more than welcome to come live with us until her time. If you and your mom do decide to stay here until she goes, then yes after she does pass you will be moving in with me and your brothers. As far as your bestfriends you will make new friends, but if they mean that much to you they can come with us when they are of age, or if their parents are okay with that before hand. And as school goes you will be transferred to a school closer to where we live. Well as seeing as it is very late head to bed and we can talk in the morning. I love you princess.

K: Okay, (yawn) Daddy. (Yes I used the word Daddy. Get over it.) Good night mom, dad, boys. Love you!
