Chapter twelve

            Engagement party/ Brithday Party

Leo Sr. POV:

Tonight is my princess's birthday. So I decided that this would be perfect to have an engagement party combined. Why you may ask. One simple answer knowing she is not a fan at all about dresses I figured this is one less dress she would have to buy and wear. Don't worry I asked her if she was okay with combing the to parties. Needless to say she was very okay with not having to buy more dresses, let alone wear even more. My little girl is turning 17, and is going to be announced as an engaged woman. That she is off the market. Not that she was ever on the market. With this engagement party this is going to send word around. And this could mean more danger in the future before the wedding. We have enemies who would love to bring us down. Even though Karma is not a weakness for say but that is how they will try to bring us down by either kidnapping or killing her. And neither is gonna happen on my watch.

Sven POV:

I honestly can't wait to see my princess today in her dress. Though we are technically already engaged I want to do this the right way and propose properly. I'm  hoping she says yes. Granted we really have no choice in getting married. I'm glad we fell for each other basically love at first sight. I just really want to make this more our decision and not so much mafia law. I want this out of love. Make sense? I hope so, because in my mind it does.

Karma's POV:

I woke up and got ready for the day. Now the joined parties start at 4pm and it is only 7:30 am. I walk down to the kitchen and I see all 7 of my brothers sitting and eating breakfast. I smile seeing my family. I missed this with my mom tho I never really realized it. She was a Great mom, but worked a lot to take care of us. And when she diagnosed she had to quit her job. And she took dad's offer and moved into his house until her final day came. I miss her. But enough of this sad story back to my family sitting and enjoying each other's company. I walk into the kitchen and greet them with a big smile on my face. 

                    Time skip start the party

Still Karma's pov:

Everyone was having a great time. When my Dad came up to me and asked if I was ready to make my appearance for the first time to both Mafia families at the same time. I haven't met his family well only his father I met. That's because he was at the meeting. I will be meeting them well tonight like I said. 🙂"Hello earth to Karma." Dad said. "Sorry Daddy." I link my arm through his and he starts leading me to grand entrance to the banquet hall.  We stop right outside the door. He tells me to wait there. He left the door open just enough he can keep an eye on me but closed enough he can make the announcement. He gathered everyone's attention and came back to me and escorted me into the banquet hall. He called Sven up to us. He stood to my left while Dad stood to my right. He then proceeds to make an announcement that Sven and I are engaged to be married and join the two families together. And he also said that it is also my 17th birthday party combined. That by this time next year the wedding will under way on or very near my 18th birthday.  He finished the speech by saying everyone thank you for your support and being here for these great occasions and enjoy the party. After Dad said his speech, Sven step up and said he has something he wants to ask me, while we still have everyone's attention. He then turned to face me and held on to both my hands. At this point I'm getting a bit nervous about what he has to say and ask me. When I see him get down on one knee and held out this beautiful ring and asked me to marry him. " Absolutely yes!" I said. He then slid the ring onto my finger.

                   Time jump 8pm.

Mystery person pov:

My plan is to attack tonight and to take down both families. They are celebrating their soon to be union of both families coming together. My prize will be if we could capture/ kidnap Karma and make her mine. I ready my men and we get set to storm the hall. They are heavily guarded but I'm hoping that taking them off guard will work in my favor and I'm not leading them to their slaughter. I steady my men and give the order to attack and I'm right along side them.

John's pov:

Everyone is have a great time when bullets start to fly. Everything turns to chaos. Women screaming, the younger kids crying and all the men trying get them to safety.  While we start taking out the attackers. I yell for Theo to take Karma and get her to safety. She wanted to refuse and help but she knew this was not the time to argue. She left with Theo. We continue to hold off the intruders. Quite a few men are injured. And I have no idea if Father or any of my brothers, yes and baby sister is safe. I'm moving around hiding behind things and taking aim at the attackers all while trying to find my family. I feel this sharp pain in my left arm realizing I been shot. I push the pain to the side and manage to find father okay and taking out men. He sees the wound on shoulder. I nod saying I'm fine, and yell over the gun fire we need to find the rest. As the shooting comes to a slow end. I notice both sides have many men down. We need to get them seen and fast, and hopefully get them on their way to healing and not to their graves.
