Chapter eighteen

Leo Sr. POV:

Ever since the attack on us. We have doubled the guards. I have been working around the clock trying to find out who was behind it. Who ever was behind it bailed out, and pulled out any of their living men when they realized they were not gonna win this attack. We have leads and I have my men checking them out. My son Jake has become my best hacker. He has been working on this case since the attack. Karma knows what we do but we still don't bring her to in depth in it. She knows enough to stay safe and protect herself. We taught her to shoot and fight. She actually loves it. When they stop by today I'm gonna have a sit down in my office with Sven and see how he feels about bringing her in deeper into this situation. She is one the best shots I have ever seen. Her fighting is up there but she would be a great asset for both families. She may be my daughter but she is his wife. Well I better head to my office and start doing the work that needs to be completed. Right as I'm walking to my office I see Paul and ask him to send Sven to my office when they show up. "Sure no problem father." Paul replied.

Sven POV:

We left our house and went to store to go grocery shopping, and also pick up a few pregnancy tests while we were there. I hoping the test come out as she is pregnant. I want a little one running around. But we will have to wait and see. After we pay and leave the store we swing by the house just long enough to drop off and put away the groceries. I know why wouldn't you just take the groceries home later or just save the groceries shopping for last? Well Karma really wanted to take a test now, because the sooner we can schedule an appointment with the doctor the better. So I start putting the groceries away as Karma takes the test to the bathroom.

Karma's POV:

When we stopped home to put the groceries away I took a test to the bathroom, while I had Sven put everything away. This whole time I am wishing I am pregnant. I walk into the bathroom and set the boxes on the countertop, but not before I read the directions. I had bought a few different brands not knowing what brands were better. I pull out my phone and bring up my timer for 3 minutes. I take the tests out of their boxes and I take 3 out of the 6 test we bought. I set them down on the countertop and press start on my phone. Sven walks in and sees 3 of the test on the countertop and asks.

S: How long do they need to set before you can read them?

K: Only three minutes, my phone says there is a minute and a half left. I'm hoping they come out positive. What are you hoping they say?

S: Honestly I want them to say positive. I want to be a daddy. I want to have little feet running around.

(Beep, beep, beep)

K: Well that's the timer. Do you want to look or do you want me to?

S: How about we look together?

K: Okay, on three.

We look at the first test +. We look at each other with a smile, and pick up the second test +. Again we give each other a smile. We then check the 3rd and final test it also read +. We have the biggest smiles on our faces. You may be wondering why I took 3, well simple answer is I heard of false positives so if all three test come back as positive I would feel better knowing that the results are in my favor. Well that is my way of thinking, don't judge. Sven pulls his phone out of his pocket and starts dialing a number and I'm just listening to his side of the conversation.

S: Hey doc, I was wondering if we could schedule an appointment for my wife. We would like a check up and run some tests to see if our results came back correct.

S: Do you have an earlier times than that?

S: Okay Thanks, Sure tomorrow at 7am sounds great. Thank you doc for getting us in so early. You also have a good day. Oh and doc don't mention this to anyone, you know about the appointment or the results of any tests. We want to be the ones to announce any news we may get tomorrow.

S: Thanks, you too. Bye.

K: What did he say about not telling anyone about this?

S: He said his lips are sealed. He said to be there by 6:30 so we can fill paperwork out and they will have time to set up, because he is gonna open up early just for us. Then at 7 they will start the check up. Otherwise we would have to wait until 10 for him to get us in. He opens at 9 and he already has an appointment at 9 and one at 9:30. He told me he would open up early to get us in.

K: Okay, well we need to get going. We have to stop by your dad's house and also my dad's house. You don't think they will be upset with us for keeping this from them, do you?

S: No Princess I don't think that. I think everyone would understand that we wanted to make sure everything was confirmed by a doctor first.

K: Thank you Babe.

S: For what princess?

K: For setting my mind at easy, and for being there for me, for us. I love you!

S: Your welcome princess, And I love you 2. Always and forever babe, always and forever.
