i love you by Billie Eilish

Short review:

Billie is an artist I've been getting really into lately. It totally isnt my type of music, but then again, I have so many different types of music in my music library. I've really fallen in love with her music, and the fact that shes only a few years older than I am is unbelievable. She has fun songs, sad songs, the whole lot. As a person, shes also just beautiful, funny, down to earth, very importantly, isn't sexualised in the slightest and is just herself. I think that's a great image to have, and probably why she attracted so many fans before she was even 18.

I think, judging from some of these songs I have here, I really love emotional, sad and beautiful songs. i love you really fits that mould. I really choked up listening to it first, and I watched a live performance of it and the emotion was just there the entire time (I'll link it below this review).

I'm going through a weird time right now; I'm falling for someone I really don't want to. This song, the chorus in particular, is exactly how I'm feeling about it, maybe not the love part because it isn't that strong yet, but it's pretty damn close. Theres always a song for any situation or time in my life, and this song is the one that I'm playing now, and also a song I'm learning on guitar. It's a song that really resonates with me right now. I think a lot of people have one person come to mind when listening to it, and that's definitely the case for me. That's the great thing about music, it's not just a bunch of chords and lyrics. It's also a feeling, and it can also be therapy at the best of times.

I highly recommend this song, as well as Billies album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, where this song is from. Its a brilliant record that I can listen to in repeat.

Note: I chose this performance over the one that Billie and Finneas did on XXXTentacions anniversary, as I thought the crowd wasnt very respectful to Billies grief, or Jahseh. It was also a very powerful performance, but this one I chose is just as powerful without the disrespectful cheering and yelling.
