Do Not Wait by Wallows
Short review
I really really love Wallows. I was so excited for their album last March, and when it finally dropped, I was the farthest thing from disappointed. Do Not Wait is easily my favourite song from the album. I love the way they included a song that ended up the album perfectly, like Billie Eilishs 'goodbye' and Clairos I Wouldn't Ask You. The end of the song has the same opening as the first song on the album, Only Friend, so it really brings the album full circle. It's always a pleasure to listen to this song, and I always listen to the full song. When I first listened to it, I had it on my little portable CD player in the back of the car and I had the album looped because I sometimes have to loop an album to really get to know it, and I was amazed hearing it go back so perfectly and smoothly. Then, I listened to it a second time without the looping, and it felt like the end to a really good story. I'm absolutely obsessed with this song, and I highly recommend it, as well as the album, Nothing Happens.
