Lostmyhead by The 1975
Short review
This, my friends, is the most underrated The 1975 song. This song is beauty, and it doesn't even have that many lyrics. It's such an incredible song. When I first heard it, I couldn't stop replaying it because of that huge climax after such a buildup. When I heard this live, I honestly started to cry because of how powerful it felt to me. It's one of the best songs they've ever put out in my opinion. If I could properly describe it, it would be that it reminds me of the tunnel scene in the movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Of course, David Bowie's Heroes is the song for the scene, but if I was asked to re-score that movie, I would pick Lostmyhead for that scene. It's just another one of The 1975's songs that are perfect for driving at night.
It comes at what I call the divider of the album, and found on the B side of the physical album, which consists of Please Be Naked, Lostmyhead and The Ballad of Me and My Brain. It's a really nice transition into the second half of the album.
I definitely recommend this song. It's a beautiful song from a beautiful record.
