"look how cute this is," i said, referring to the shirt in my hand.

"how much is it?" mattia asked.  i looked at the price tag, then put the shirt back.

"what?"

"fucking $80 for a shirt!"

"what, you're not gonna get it?"

"hell no!"

"why? it would look hot as fuck on you."

"bro, that shirt is not worth $80," i said.  he sucked his teeth and grabbed the shirt off of the rack, walking over to the checkout desk.

"mattia, no."

"come on, let me spoil you."

"mattia-"

"shut up," he said, giving the shirt to the cashier.

"is that all today?" she asked.

"yes, thank you," mattia said, pulling out his wallet.

"are you hungry yet?" mattia asked after we left the store.

"yeah.  can we go to the food court?" i asked.

"duh," he replied.  we sat down, ate our food and when we were done, we decided that we were gonna head out.

"i'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick, i'll be right back," mattia said.

"okay," i replied.  he stood up and started walking to the bathroom as i pulled out my phone. i was scrolling through instagram when i heard a cat-call whistle. i looked up to see 2 guys walking by, looking me up and down. ew.

"how are you doing, gorgeous?" one of them asked.

"i'm fine," i said then looked back down at my phone.

"what, you don't wanna talk to me?" one of the boys asked.

"not really, no," i replied.

"aw.  why is that?"

"i have a boyfriend."

"well, i don't see him anywhere. do you?" he asked his friend.

"i'm actually right here," i heard mattia say as he walked over to me.

"you okay?" he asked. i nodded my head yes.

"this is your man, really? i could treat you so much better than he ever could."

"i doubt it," i said.

"come on, let's go," mattia said, grabbing my hand.

"what, you're too pussy to stay and talk?"

"listen.  i don't know what your problem is, but you need to cut the shit.  okay?" mattia said.

"why should i?" the guy asked.  mattia stood there glaring at them.

"come on mattia, let's just go," i said and grabbed his arm, turning him around.

"mattia? aren't you that gay-ass tiktok dude?"

"just keep walking," i said.

"look at him running away with his little bitch," he pressed.  mattia whipped around and made a beeline straight for the guy. i somehow got in front of him and placed my hands on his chest.

"what the fuck did you say asshole?"

"your bitch has to hold you back? that's fucking pathetic," he laughed.  i looked up at mattia and gave him a 'let it go' look, so he turned around. i followed him. before i knew it, mattia had turned around again and knocked the guy over with one solid blow. i covered my mouth and watched as mattia shook his hand.

"don't fucking call her a bitch," he said as he headed back towards me, exiting the mall. once we got in his car, he grabbed my hand and looked at me.

"i'm sorry if i scared you, i didn't mean to. just couldn't put up with that fucking prick calling you a bitch," he said.

"it's okay. it was kind of hot, not gonna lie," i said and he laughed.

"you know, you're weird as fuck," he smiled, then leaned in to give me a kiss.
