i was hanging with you and then i realized, i didn't think it was true, i was surprised when i found out i'd fallen for you.
"hey," i said, wrapping my arms around my best friend after not seeing him for weeks, due to quarantine.
"i missed you," he said.
"i missed you too ugly," i replied. he laughed and pulled away. we decided to watch frozen 2 because why the fuck not. as i cuddled up to him, i realized something. aw, shit. i'm in love with my best friend.
i didn't wanna believe my feelings for you, i didn't want to believe that i could lose you if i told you just how i felt.
"hey, i'll be right back," i said, getting off of him.
"okay," he replied. i left the room and went to the bathroom, steadying myself on the sink and looking in the mirror.
you don't like him. you can't like him. he's your best friend.
although, it would explain why his laugh makes my heart flutter, and his smile makes my knees weak. FAWK. i went back to my room.
"mattia, i think you should go."
"what, why? we haven't seen each other in three weeks."
"yeah, i just... um... threw up and i don't wanna get you sick if i have a stomach bug or something."
"i don't care, i just want to spend time with you."
"mattia, please?" i asked. i could see that he was upset, and i felt terrible, but i need some time to myself to think.
"you 100% want me to leave?" he asked. well...
"yes. please. i just don't want to get you sick," i replied. he nodded and stood up, putting his shoes on and walking over to me.
"text me when you're feeling better, okay?" he asked. i nodded my head yes. he opened his arms for a hug and i hesitated, but couldn't resist. i wrapped my arms around him and then pulled away.
"i'm sorry."
"it's okay, but if you have covid i'm gonna be pissed," he said. i laughed softly.
"bye mattia," i said. he walked out the door. this cannot be happening.
but i can't help it, i'm falling for you, and i can't quit it, cuz i'm stuck on you.
after the day i practically kicked mattia out, i haven't talked to him. he's been texting me non-stop but i haven't answered. why, you might ask? i don't really know. i should probably text him. but i feel like if i text him, i might accidentally spill.
