Chapter 26 Opportunity

Gavins pov

I hear the whistle which indicates that the match has started. Oliver immediately takes the ball first and scores within the first few minutes. He continues to score throughout the match and everyone in the crowd cheers for him.

Its been so long since I last saw him play, he's improved so much, he looks like a professional. The coach of his dream team will for sure ask him to join.

The game ends and Olivers team win with a big gap between the scores. His teammates run up to him and they all start to cheer, lifting Oliver up in the air. He looks like he's on cloud nine. I quickly walk down to him but before I get there, I see the coach of his dream team walk up to him. I decide to not interrupt and went to the other teammates instead. It is so loud so I can't hear their conversation, but they seem very serious.

Oliver approaches me and his team with a big smile.

Oliver: I got asked if I wanted to join the team that I've been dreaming of.

His teammates immediately hug him and congratulate him. They we're cheering so loud for him, that I couldn't get to him.

Oliver: I'm not done talking yet.. I loved the proposal but after all we've been through I realized I'd rather be with you guys so I declined.

They all got surprised and one of them even started crying. He laughed and hugged them all, thanking them for always being there for him.

When the crazy cheering starts to calm down, I walk up to Oliver and hug him. After hugging him I place my hands in his shoulders and look at him with a serious expression.

Gavin: Are you really sure this is what you truly want?

He gives me a genuine smile and places his hands around my neck. I move my hands down to his hips and he gets closer.

Oliver: I'm sure. After seeing the teams response to my break down and how they have been treating me I knew that this is where I belong. It's all thanks to you that I realized this, so thank you for always being there by my side.

He stands on his toes and he moves his head closer to mine. He kisses my lips and it quickly turns into a deep kiss. His teammates suddenly get quiet and then I hear some of them cheer for us, one even whistled. Our lips part and he whispers teasingly into my ear so no one else could hear.

Oliver: Let's continue this later..

After celebrating some more with his team, we decide to go back. Olivers parents drop us at my house.
