Shadow is by himself away from his team and G.U.N, as he is up in Space Colony Arc, lost in thought remembering everything, of his time of creation, meeting his creator Gerald Robotnik and meeting his grandaughter Maria Robotnik.
FlashBack 50 Years Ago After Shadow's Creation
Gerald Robotnik Was asked to inspect some old ancient ruins they said they looked old as time itself but they were still standing Gerald agreed to look into it, he went down to earth and was at the location of the ruins when he made it there he was surprised by how old they looked, still standing in one spot he was afraid to touch it for he thought that it would crumble to dust but he almost tripped but caught himself he looked up but was surprised again when he touched the walls and pillar he stood himself upright and dusted himself off as he went further he sees an Alter as he walked closer he looked around it and inspects the alter he saw a glimpse of a small temple he has gotten a good look at it he went further into the temple as he starts seeing some writings on the walls.
Gerald: This is fascinating I have never thought there be more of such as these anywhere I wonder what I'll discover.
Gerald walks down further as it starts to be hard to see in darkness, having no light made hard for him to maneuver before he turns back to leave he saw something glowing in the darkness, something small and it gave off a glow of multiple colors, as he walked closer his eyes widen in surprise he sees another Chaos Emerald.

Gerald: It can't be there's another Chaos Emerald but wait there's only seven how can there be eight?
As he looked around he got a good look at the writings and drawings, he made a note to ask for permission to come down to look into what he found as he takes one look at the 8th Emerald he saw something in it and was surprised at what he saw, he sees a newborn inside which was a shock to him be decided not to question it until he can get a good look at the writings, and drawings and maybe translate so he made a return to Space Colony Arc not before taking the multi-colored Emerald with him that housed a newborn within he kept as he was there he told them what he found but kept the Emerald a secrete as to that he doesn't know anything about it and why is there a child within it for some reason he decided not to tell his colleagues on what else he found and kept it to himself except Shadow and Maria he showed them Shadow and Maria were surprised Shadow made a vow not only will he keep Maria safe but the child that's within the Emerald safe as well Maria has gotten attached to it not knowing its gender they didn't know either it was a boy or a girl or why theres an 8th Emerald Gerald went to asked the higher ups if he could go back down to study the ruins the higher ups aloud it as they gave him the best equipment for the temple Gerald went back down to earth and back to the temple on where he found the eighth Emerald.
A/N: Sup I know I haven't updated in about how long but I just been thinking about why not start something in the past maybe can get a little insight about the Gaia Emerald or Chaos Gaia Emerald well I'm gonna get going I know this chapter is short but I might do a chapter maybe of Shadow and Maria looked after the Gaia Emerald housing a newborn see some interaction with it sorry sorry won't take up you guys time I'm gonna maybe startup see you guys in or on a next chapter Crimson logging out.
