Chapter 13

"Oh no," I groan

"Wait who's that?" Ethan whispers

"That would be my Uncle Kol," I say and his eyes go wide and he immediately gets up and tries to hide in my closet

"Don't bother he probably already knows you're here," I say and get up and head to the living room

"Is he going to kill me?" he asks and I groan

"Probably I would suggest leaving as soon as possible," I say and he nods and when I walk into the living room to see Kol Davina Marcel and Rebekah

"What the hell's going on?" Rebekah asks

"Who the hell is he?" Kol asks and both him and Marcel are glaring at Ethan

"Yeah I'm just gonna leave," Ethan says and I nod

"Alright I'll see you in the morning," I say and kiss him before he leaves

"You remember me," I say turning to the others as soon as he closes the door and they nod

"What the hell happened Hope? You just disappeared and nobody remembered you. We've been looking for you for months and it all led to dead ends. Davina Fraya and Keelin all forgot about you along with the rest of the world it took us weeks to get them to remember and even then there are holes in their memory," Rebekah says and I sigh and then have to explain everything that's happened leading up to my disappearance

"Let me get this straight you jumped into a pit of mud that devours creatures not knowing if you would live but knowing if by some chance you do live nobody in the world would remember you? Hope how could you be so stupid you realize your father would come back to life to kill us all if you died and on top of that when you did come back you didn't even try to contact us to tell us your safe on the off chance we remembered you," Kol says and I sigh

"I didn't really think it was possible for you to remember me but I guess I should have considered it I mean I remembered Landon's mom after she jumped into the pit so I guess it makes sense that I get that from Dad being an Original," I say and they nod

"Speaking of Landon what happened between you?" Bekah asks

"When I got out of the pit I found out he's dating Josie now they're in love and so cute together, I just want him to be happy and Jo deserves to be happy too she always takes care of everyone else and I know Landon will take care of her. Besides, I'm trying to find my happiness to our love was Epic but I believe that people get more than one epic love" I say and Rebekah hugs me 

"So what your with the human quarterback now?" Kol says and I nod

"His names Ethan and technically I just met him last Monday but I like him a lot. He took me to a carnival today and I think I could love him" I say

"You're not going to come back with us are you?" she asks and I sigh

"No, and you can't stay here, I'm finally getting my chance to be normal I'm relatively safe, nobody knows I exist Dad's enemies aren't after me and neither are yours the only thing I have to worry about is Malavore and Alaric and the Salvatore School kids mainly deal with it. I told him everything but he doesn't remember Lizzie and Rafael are the only ones who do" I say and they look shocked

"How do they remember? We had to compel Freya Keelin and Davina to remember" Rebekah asks

"Josie shot Lizzie her with a ton of black magic to get rid of a demon that was in her and she remembers everything now, Rafael never forgot because I gave him a ring to turn into a wolf at will I was the only one who could turn him back so he was a wolf for 2 months and when he turned back he remembered me," I say and they nod

"How did you end up finding me I mean you said you've been looking for me for months?" I ask

"Your credit card you ordered a lot of stuff and had it delivered here that gave us an address," Rebekah says and I laugh

"I gotta thank Maya then she's the one who ordered everything," I say

"Who's Maya?" Davina asks and I smile

"She's Ethan's twin sister she's basically my best friend," I say and Rebekah squeals

"You have a best friend," she says and I laugh

"Yes, I've been trying to be more outgoing and I have been getting along with people I'm actually on the football team." I say and they both look shocked

"You don't even understand football," Kol says and I laugh 

"I don't have to understand it to play it," I say and they laugh

"Just call occasionally Ok," Rebekah says and I nod

"Of course," I say and we talk for a while

"Ok we can't stay here obviously especially if you want to remain normal" Rebekah says

"Well I want to threaten that boy first your dad and Elijah aren't here to do it anymore," Kol says and I groan 

"Kol she's 17 when I 17  we were dating," Davina says

"It's fine I warned him about Kol just don't scare him too bad and don't kill him," I say

"and don't break his arm" Rebekah adds confusing both Devina and me

"I had a crush on Matt Donovan when he was quarterback and Kol broke his arm," Rebekah says and I shake my head

"Please don't break his arm he has a football scholarship," I say and Kol rolls his eyes

"Whatever get some sleep," he says and I smile

"K don't be surprised if Maya and Ethan show up in the morning," I say and go to bed
