"Yeah, I like her... Well, she's quite annoying sometimes--

"No, you dumb*ss," Dallas smacks the back of my head. "Do you like her more than just a friend?" 

I rub my head, and speak without thinking, "Totally,"

"I knew it!--"

"No--I meant, no," I rephrase.

"Dude, what's up with you? Just make up your mind," Dallas mumbles.
"Y'know what, Dallas, we have another game coming up, let's focus on ball," I said standing, trying to cover up. He sighs, " Sure,"

"Hey, you," A voice calls behind me, I already knew it was Diamond, so I didn't stop, and wait for her to catch up to me. "Hey, I'm talkin' to you!" She yells again. "Catch up, Einstein," I call over my shoulder. "Einstein!?"
All of a sudden someone grabs my arm. "You saying I'm a dude?" She asks. I look down at her.
"No--"
"Y'know what, that's why your... a slender man."

"What?"

"Because..a slender man, is tall...and your tall."

"No, your just short,"

"Okay, we're insulting each other today," Diamond smirks. "No, we aren't, you always wan't to start something, jeez," I mumble.
"Fine,"
So we walk, no one talks yet.
"So, you know how people say nothing rhymes with orange, well, there is one word,"

I sigh, "And what's that,"
She takes a pause, "Porange!"

"Did you just make that up?"

"No, Porange is a pronoun used to describe a---"

"Yeah, yeah, I get," 
"Don't  underestimate a girl with photographic memory," Diamond smiles.
I roll my eyes. "When did you become so friendly, I thought you were always mad,"

She shrugs, "I guess when we k---" Then she stops cold in the middle of her sentence. "Hm, never mind."
I look down at her, " What were you gonna say?" Even though, I kinda knew. "When we...what?
"..It's nothing--"

"When we...kissed? Right?" I asked.
Diamond blushes. "...Yeah, I guess..."

Then, there was a stretch of silence. Dang, I never shouldda said that...

"Things did start becoming weird after that," Me, mumbling.

"Yeah..."

~Sommore silence~

"Um...why, though?" I ask.

"Why what?" 

"Why, did you change, after that night...We just kissed, nothing serious--"
She cut me off, " I-I didn't "change"...I just..*shrug* wen't back to being my normal self...I didn't always, have black hair, and act moody all the time. It was...a 14yr old phase thing..." Diamond laughs nervously and folds her arms.
"But, after the kiss?" 

"Uhm...yeah I guess...And stop saying, The kiss, like it was the talk of the year, nothing serious."

I smile, mumbling a quick sorry, and the walked continued, slipping back into the silence, that's not feeling as awkward anymore.
"Hey...do you know..Joy Valler?" Diamond randomly had to ask. Y'know what I remember mentioning "ex" to Diamond but really didn't say Joy's actual name.
"....Yeah, I've seen her around.." I lie, just to see where this falls. "Oh, well, y'know she has a major crush on you,"

I make a face, on accident, cause, I didn't wan't to here this today.

"She doesn't like me.."

"Oh, yeah, she does."

"Are, you trying to hook me up with your friend?" I ask. 
Diamond chuckles, "First, we're not friends, second, no. I'm just saying because, everyone thinks we're dating, y'know that right, and she keeps coming up to me like, *tries to imitate Joy's voice* "Back off my mans," And it's quite bothering." 

"Keep letting them think that," Is what, an idiot (again) would say...cause, I wasn't thinking that, or anything.

"I don't know...She could be just jealous of you, about something else, like your more beautiful than her." Again, Is what an Idiot would say...but, I actually said that, so I'm an idiot......wow.

"Aw, you really think so?" Diamond smiles.
I blush way too hard, "I-I mean, everyone thinks so.." Mumbling.
She pokes my arm, smirking, "Okay, surrrrre." But she's low-key blushing too, so-- Why, is this happening???

Dallas, was right.....Wait, no, this isn't flirting...it's..something else....I think.

"So, anyway, she's definitely jealous, that I'm hanging around you,"
I inhale, take a pause.
"Nah, she just..."

"Why do you keep denying it?" Diamond asks suspicious.
Inhale, exhale, A simple process.

"Hey, can I ask you something..?"

"Uhm..sure?"

"..Hypothetically speaking...would'f I was...your boyfriend, right?"

She makes a confused expression. "....Hypothetically.."
I nod, " Right, hypothetically...and you come to school on a regular day , and you can't find me anywhere. And the whole time of school , you ask around some of my friends, you blow up my phone, I don't respond...So, then the days finally over, but I'm still gone. You come home, wait around for a bit, but realize, You could just check to see if I'm home, simple right, maybe ask if I'm fine, If anything happened... But when you get to my house, you find that... A certain person you don't like, and they don't like you, was having a conversation with me, at my door. Now your only watching from afar, and can't exactly hear what's going on, But as you get closer, you could tell that, the atmosphere got heaver, and now me and the girl, are getting more closer, and closer...until we kissed. I just cheated on you, what would you do?"

That, took way longer than it should've.

Diamond chuckles, "First, that was reallllly detailed." 

I laugh nervously, "Y-yeah, sorry--"

"Did that happen to you, or something--"

"No, I-it just  happened to a friend of mine, except less drama," lies, lies, lies...

"Hm, well, I would totally be pissed, in this situation, maybe slap you, then the girl, and then I'd break up with you, cut both of you out of my life forever." Diamond shrugs.

"Yeah, good choice, any way, Joy Valler did that... So I'd say it's best for me to keep away from her..."

"Oh wow, she must be a b*tch."

"That's what I sai---*coughing, loudly for no reason* I mean yeah,"
Wow...I'm an Idiot.

"Well I feel bad for your friend. Getting cheated on, is the worst, Although, I've never experienced it,"

"Me neither, but he was sad for days,"

"I've never had a boyfriend before,"

I nod. 
Wait, how??? Do you know how beautiful, smart and kind you are, woman?
Exaggerating, exaggerating.

"Really?"

"Yeah, I'm just waiting...for that one person, to come into my life, y'know? Falling in love, is a curse, cause you might have to go through severe consequences. Like, cheating, and getting dumped, left behind... I'm not willing to go through, pointless things, that will shatter my soul...because, my heart is for pumping blood..not making bad decisions."
Diamond shrugs.

I think...I think hard, about that, not because it's just straight out facts, but because, I shouldda thought of it before, I decided to shatter my soul.

Then she nudges my arm, "Why are you thinking, so hard about that?" she laughs.

"Because, it's so pure," I say, amazed.

"Haha, see you around, Leo," She walks away, in a direction, to her house. I didn't even realize we were here. Wow, who knew, any of our conversations would get so real...
