"W-what? N-no I can't do that," I stutter as Jamie already tossed me his keys. "Dad, I'm not driving." I tell him again caused he seemed to be in his own world. "C'mon Leo, onward," He ignores me, of course, trying to head out the door.
"Are you even listening? I'm not f#ckin' driving dude," Now I sound like I'm speaking to Dallas. Dad turns to me quickly. "But She needs me Leo,"
What the heck is he talking about?
"Shelby," He finishes.
As much as I don't know this guy, I seem to wan't to know whom this specific name belongs to."Shelby?" I repeat. "Who is that?"
"Come on kid, you gotta take me there," Dad says more serious. "Now,"
Oh god.
"I'm not driving." I tell him once again. Also once again, Dad ignores me heading straight out the door. No. No, no, no, no, no way am I driving a car. So I can crash and die all over again, no, I'm not willing to risk that. I grip the keys to dads BMW. Such an expensive car.
Ugh! I really can't...
"Dad," I groan watching him. "Get your xss over here, now Leo Carter," Dad yells drunkenly.
"Just drive me, and you can be home,"
Although his sentence made no sense, I just pretend it did and walk out the house closing the door behind me, following dad to his car slowly. "Now open the door, like thi--"
"I know how to open the door," I mumble pulling on the handle aggressively. I'm casually pissed. I don't wan't to drive. "Just take me to Shelby," Dad said. "You have to tell me how to get to Shelby first." I say back staring at the wheel. "You'd have to be in the godd*mn car for me to do that, first." Dad corrects. I shoot him a glare but he's to busy trying to open his own door, to notice. Since when did I start speaking with my father like this?...Oh right since he decided to get drunk and direct me to drive him to Shelby. I'm starting to think that's a place now. I sigh sitting in the drivers seat, and automatically started feeling nervous.
Can I really do this?"Well aren't you going to start the car?" Dad asks me loudly. I flinch at the volume of his voice and turn to him erked. "Dad, you know what happened the last time I drove right?" He turns to look ahead, "Look son...I know your going through puberty right now--"
"What the h3ll are you--"
"It's only a couple minutes away, just drive, Leo." He pats my shoulder. I stab the key in the ignition ignoring his every word. I can't deal with this right now. And then all the nervousness seeped right back in.
Well, shxt.
I'm behind the wheel. Although I don't wan't to be. Not going to lie, I'm pretty scared. If I crash, It'll hurt both me and Dad. "W-would'f I crash--"
"Drive the d*mn car, Leo." Dad mumbles. I sigh gulping, pulling it into drive and the car started to slowly roll out the drive way, from the little pressure I'm pushing on the gas pedal.
Shxt, shxt, shxt, shxt-
My foot slams on the breaks, maybe a little too hard, making the car jerk to a sop. Dad turns to give me a look. "S-sorry, I forgot my seat belt," I stutter nervously quickly strapping it on, and start to drive again. Dad gave me brief directions on where to turn, and I have to say it went better than I expected. Except, my hands got clammy every two seconds and I had to pull them away from the wheels to wipe them on my pants.
After 15 minutes or less we pull up at a large house, with a porch and random small toys scattered on the lawn. All my nervousness during the ride I forgot to ask exactly who Shelby was. Guess I'm 'bout to find out.
I sigh exiting the car and walk over to the passenger side to open the door for dad, whom was struggling to do it himself. I had to help him to the door as well, cause the guy was acting like a crackhead. Right when I was about to ring the door-bell, dad just opened the door. "Wait Dad--"
"Shelby?" Dad whispers like anyone was going to hear that. He walked in. I was hesitant to follow him into the house but did. "Shelby..." he said it normally that time. Who is Shelby???
"Dad," I say trying to catch up to him as he wondered through the, really neatly kept house.
"Jamie," I whisper yell gritting my teeth. He turns around to look at me, "What?"
"Who's house--" I don't even get to finish the question I started, cause, Dads head clicked toward some stairs and he immediately started toward them. "No wait--Dad?" I say following him. He's drunk and confused, We're in a strangers house, and we're going to get arrested.
I make a mental note to tell Diamond how I truly feel about her, before I go to prison. Dad looks down a hallway, and starts toward a door at the very end.
Please Don't open the door--
I asked that in my head, but Jamie opened the door and he stops cold in the middle of his rushing. "Oh," He sighs in relief.
Oh...? What does that mean?
He's sortta blocking my view from whats actually inside the room, only a white ceiling I could see above his head.
"Your okay," Dad said.
That's when I heard another voice. "Jamie, what are you doing here?" It's female. "I thought you were coming tomorrow." She finishes. Dad starts to move further into the room. "Surprise?" He shrugged. And that's when I can finally see. the woman that sat on a bed. She had short auburn colored hair. I didn't recognize her.
Slowly, the lady stands from the bed a little shorter standing next to Dad. He had to bend a little lower to kiss her. I wan't to say that, I'm confused but...Not really? Then I notice, yet, another female sitting on the bed. Except this one looks four or five. She stood on it hopping up and down. Auburn locks bounced on her shoulders, and she had chocolate brown eyes. She had freckles just like Mic. But her over all look just reminded me of someone.
"Daddy what are you doin' here?" The little girl asks.
That's right, she reminds me of Dad...
Well, fxck.
Dad turns his attention away from the women, and lets the kid hop in his arms, "To see you of course," he then kisses her cheek, making the child giggle. "You smell funny daddy,"
Well, shxt.
As soon as that thought ended, The girls eyes land on mine, and her smile turns into a frown.
"Daddy," she said quietly. "Who is that?"
What you guys think of the chapta!?
