Chapter 50 | Um It's Maryland

Through out the whole week Dads been tryna get us into his other house. It was a stressful process that, even I was getting exhausted, but y'know life happened.

And like I called it Mic was...surprisingly okay with the move.

So I didn't call it.

As a matter of fact, he seemed to be in a good mood that day. But he didn't smile of course, I've kinda only noticed he does that when he's high...

No he wasn't okay with it. Or he's just good at hiding it. Or I couldn't really tell.

When he came home after school, suspiciously late, and asked why there was a fat truck outside of the house, I told him we were moving in with Katie, and he just shrugged and wen't to his room only to find half his furniture missing.

He was okay with that too.

But anyway, the very next day, It was official that, I'd be calling the house my home. No, I wasn't totally weirded out. I might as well get used to this...mostly being around kids.

This is going to be my first time, actually having to...interact with a kid.

And as this thing wen't on...something I'll never be able to take back happened. The most uncomfortable thing happens to Leo Carter, and Micah Hills.

Katie, some how happy with two strangers moving into her house was like, "Oh my god, I wanna get to know you guys, it's a shame that you bla bla bla." That woman talks allot, and she moves fast for a pregnant lady.

So that's not the uncomfortable thing. Just picture a nice lil dining table some where in the world, in a persons home. Five humans seated at it. A kid who doesn't know what the hxll to do, A kid silently eating their food as well as looking depressed, A talkative child, A not saying anything Man, and a lady that loves to ask questions.

It's weird, I know.

That's what's going on in my life right now.

So Katie seems like a nice lady. It got silently awkward a couple of times, but then Shelby would blurt out random things that happened to her in kindergarten. And Katie would bring up something random.

It was because Katie tried to talk to Mic. It basically wen't like this.

"So, Micah how are you?"

"Okay."

"Um.. Do you play any sports like, Leo?"

"No."

"So then what do you do?"

"Nothing,"

"Oh...Do you have a girlfriend?"

"Yeah."

"What's she like?"

"She's good."

Yeah I don't know why she tried to engage the conversation any further. First to get away from the table was Dad, then Mic, then Shelby, and then I 'helped' Katie wash the dishes. No I did them by my self.

But I was fine with it, since she cooked the food.

I haven't had real home cooked meal since I woke up.
