Chapter 35

I woke up, to an annoying noise.

The noise was coming from my phone. Yeah, I set an alarm, Because, I'm starting to sleep in allot. So the weekend flew by, and It's Monday, and it's cold in my room, because I thought it be a good idea to turn off the heat, in the middle of the night...cause, I was having a hard time falling asleep.
The long talk with dad, was just too long. It was just...weird, I guess.
But anyway, I got up out of bed, and got ready for my day. Today, was like day one, except Mic actually waited for me. I was eating my lonely breakfast, but he didn't. I don't know why the kid doesn't like eating food, It's quite strange. But yeah, we left to school, together, like brothers...

"Hey, wait,"
And, that was the voice, that, I din't want to hear right now. Well not specifically, Maryland, but, when there's Maryland, there's Diamond, and now that there's Diamond, there's awkward.

Okay, we kissed, not that serious...
Not that serious...

Mic, stopped, and turned to where the voice came from. So I had to stop to, cause If I wen't without Mic, I'd get lost. I breath when I saw Diamond just casually trailing behind her sister, not looking nervous like I did.
"Hi, Leo." Maryland says to me, then hugs Mic, exaggeratedly saying how long she hasn't seen him, and then they kissed, and I wasn't sitting there feeling anymore single than I already was. Diamond stands beside me and rolls her eyes, "Jeez, get a room-- Hey, Leo, hi, w-wassap," Whispers the first part, then speaks like she is nervous.

"O-oh, hi---"

"Okay, can we walk please, this is...this is uncomfortable," Diamond mumbles. Pretty sure, Mic Maryland were not paying any type of attention to us, so we walked together, which was not what I wanted to do.

This is awkward.
This is awkward.

Diamond clears her throat, "What?" I ask.
"Oh, no nothing." she says, looking at me for a split second. I nod. Walking side by side, not saying anything, awkward. She clears her throat again, then reaches in her pocket, and pulls out a stick of gum, pops it in her mouth, chews, smacks.

"That's annoying," I mumble.

"Your annoying," She mumbles back.

"But, I didn't even do anything,"

"Your going to do something annoying in the future."
Whet?
"How would you know,"

"I just know..."

I sigh, "Well, that makes zero sense--"

"How about, you make zero sense, Leo," Diamond. I raise an eyebrow. "Are you..mad at me?"

"No,"

"So, is this your weird way of flirting?" I ask, teasing. She shot a glare at me. "If I'd be flirting, it wouldn't be with you," I smile, low-key, hurt. "So you are mad at me,"
Diamond, shrugs. "You could say that..."

"I wouldn't,"

"Fine, lets switch the topic," Diamond.

"Right, how's life?" I ask.

"Better than yours, I'm sure,"

"Why are you so mean?" I laugh, joking/ not joking. " You take a offense?" She asks, boredly.

"Very much,"

"Okay, so stop talking to me,"

"Your the one, who's talking to me," I shrug. "No, I'm not," Diamond.

"Yeah you are,"

"No,"

"Yes,"

And my whole week wen't by just like that. Diamond, and I had the same, childish arguments, every two seconds, and Now, she's attending the same classes as me because, " I have the brains like, Albert Einstein," Is what she said, when I asked her that day. Basically,  she's smart.
And annoying. And half my entertainment, because it used to be just Dallas, now it's both of them, whoever calls me for a pointless conversation first.

I don't know if this kiss brought us closer as friends, or as...just people.
Cause, I'm just starting to like this Diamond Joyner girl more, and more.

~Weekend~

~Monday, again~

"Is it me..." Dallas mumbles to me during basket ball practice, "or is a freshman, just taking over our class," We were sitting on the bleachers during break.

"She's not just a freshman, she's Diamond Joyner." I correct him, "Yeah, even the physics teacher loves her. The physics teacher. Mrs. Morrel, hates everyone, except, Diamond."

"Kinda unfair, you feel me?" I shrug.

"Yeah, man." Dallas nods. "But isn't she, like, your girlfriend?"
I laugh, "No, What makes you think that?"
"Seriously? Are you not aware of how much ya'll flirt,"

"Flirt? No, we play around," I shrug. "Play? Didn't you guys kiss?"

"That,  was an accident,"

He glares at me for a while.
"F*ck you," Dallas mumbles. "Why--"

"You make the single ones, stand and watch, while you "play flirt", and "accidentally" kiss the hottest girl, in school....F*ck.. You."

I shrug, "Stop being so over, dramatic."

"But, like, you like her, right?" Dallas asks. I pause, then shrug again, "I mean...."

"...Yeah, I like her."

Is that a new ship, sailing???🚢⛵
