Tonight on This Week in Review!
We have a new celebrity in town. Did anybody see her in her pink tutu? She's been strutting her way down streets and thoroughfares, turning some intrigued heads in her direction. I am, of course, talking about the one, the only, FISH THE PIG!
In other animal kingdom news, dogs are no longer allowed in Panda Express. Now they can't even enjoy the occasional Orange Chicken and eggrolls. Whaaaaaaat??? Even well-behaved dogs are not permitted in restaurants? What a crime!
Now...for the serious stuff. Every week I turn this segment into a comedic piece about the week's ongoings and events. However, there have been some traumatic and horrific things going on that I will not joke about. I know the line not to cross.
Despite being a slow news week in the comedic nature, three serious incidents occured: the drowning of a man in Cocoa that made national news, the robbery of a hotel (not sure which one) near iHop, and the robbery of a Cumberland Farms.
From what I understand about the two robberies, both victims are okay but physically shaken up. I'd like to offer my sincere wishes and prayers of safety for them and their family. As for the despicable actions of those kids in Cocoa, I have no words to describe how I felt watching that video. Many of you share that sentiment. Those kids were well out of line, costing the life of an individual. Condolences to the family of the deceased and hoping justice will come to those kids.
Remember, Titusville. We are all human. It's ok to stop and laugh every once in a while. When lives are taken or threatened, the time for coming together as a community is upon us. Spread kindness, not hate. Everyone is valuable to someone. Next time you want to inflict harm on someone or curse them out at their job, remember, they have family, friends, emotions, and lives that matter to them. Life is too short to not spread love and laughter. I'd like for this week's piece to be on the funny side, but as days passed since the drowning and robberies, I decided making jokes about them were inappropriate. I apologize if this week wasn't as humorous as the previous weeks. I hope you, my audience, understand why.
