As the days passed following Sebastian and Javier's argument, I started to notice a change in both of them. Sebastian being more aggressive and angrier than usual and Javier is a lot more secretive. Any time I brought it up to either of them they looked at me like I was crazy. But I know when somethings up, majority of the time, and something was definitely up.

I unlocked Javier's front door hoping I hadn't beaten him home. His car was in the driveway, so he should be here. "Javi!?"

When I didn't get a response I looked around to find him. Eventually, I wondered to his office thinking I'd find him at his desk with his earphones in like I had many times before. Instead, I found it empty with a bunch of papers scattered on the floor beside the desk. "He's so messy," I mumbled to myself.

I went over to pick the papers up but I got distracted by a picture of me sitting on his desk. I sidestepped the papers and went to examine the picture. It was an image of me leaving work and a couple of files sitting out. Don't look in those.

I ignored the voice in my head telling me to stop and moved the picture to see what was written on the file. I wasn't that surprised to see that it was my name on it. I knew I wouldn't like what I found when I opened it, but I did it anyway. Inside were dozens of pictures of me, bank statements, and my daily schedule.

What really caught my eye was the word 'useful' beside my name on a paper that had my whole life detailed on it. I began to feel sick as I hurriedly shut the file. "Hey, babe what're you doing in here—"

"What's this Javier?"

"Mierda."

He cursed under his breath and looked up at me before approaching cautiously. "I told you I looked into you when we first met."

"You said you looked into me, but it looks like you're stalking me. This picture was taken of me yesterday?!" I exclaimed. "After what happened at the club I had my security detail keep an eye on you."

"Why do you have copies of my bank statements?"

"So I could transfer money into your account just in case of an emergency." It was strange how he had an answer for everything. "What emergency would warrant this? I did not sign up to be on no Fatal attraction shit, Javier."

"I just wanted to make sure you were safe." He sighed. "You could've told me that. This—" I gestured to the pictures and the papers on the desk, "-is weird and suspicious. You could've told me that you wanted me to have a bodyguard, which of course is completely unnecessary."

"It is necessary. There are things that you don't know, dangerous people out there that you need protection from."

"Da-Dang...Dangerous?! Javier, what dangerous people? What are you even talking about right now? How about you tell me the truth." I evaded.

"I am telling you the truth."

"Oh please!"

"I am! When you're around Sebastian you need to have someone looking out for you. He's not a good guy." I rolled my eyes and sighed. "This again?"

"Yes! This again. I really want you to just quit and cut off all contact with him but that seems a bit controlling, no?"

I looked at him as if he were crazy and shook my head. What could possibly have transpired between the two of them that had him acting like this? "Call whoever is following me off. I don't need a bodyguard."

"No." He shrugged. "No?"

"That's what I said."

"I knew I should've paid attention to the little signs. But I swept it under the rug." I laughed humorlessly. He pulled his eyebrows together and his face displayed offense.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means exactly what I said...I'm really not playing with you right now call that person off." I fumed. "No."

"...I'm leaving. Don't call me. Need to check on me call my bodyguard."

"Please don't Leave. I did this because I care about you. I just wanted to take care of you." He pouted. My eyes widened in surprise and I was chocked up on the vast amount of sarcastic replies that flooded my mind. Luckily I was saved by the sound of my phone ringing. I sighed and answered it hoping it would be my way out of this conversation.

"Hey, Sebastian. What do you need?"

"I need you to get here right now." He said roughly. "Where?"

"To work."

He hung up and I turned back to Javier who was now glaring at me. I didn't bother saying anything else, I just turned on my heel and walked out.
