Jace's PoV

I was sitting with Alec and Izzy eating breakfast in the cafeteria when Magnus and Simon came and sat with us.

"What are you guys doing tonight?" Simon asked.

I promised Magnus and Madzie I would take off and we could go out into town to have a family day," Alec says.

"I am acting head when Alec is out and Jace isn't 'in the mood' to take on the job," Iz says giving me a look knowing I won't step up and take the job for the day, "but I could use some company while I work Si."

"Sure," Simon turns to me, "What about you Jace?"

"I was thinking of taking Clary on a date, y' know, hopefully, help her remember fast, more," I say with them all giving me a sad smile.

"That's a good idea I miss my best friend," Simon says.

"I wasn't gonna say anything but Clary had asked me to be her parabatai before everything happened," Izzy says with a sad smile, everyone looking at her in sympathy.

"I'm sorry Iz, I help her try to remember as much as I can," I say.

"Hey, guys," Clary says with a big smile coming into the nearly empty cafeteria.

We all smile at her putting on brave faces, I put an arm over the back of her chair leaning over and kissing her temple, " Hi, babygirl."

She blushes hiding her face in my arm, we all laugh. Everyone ends up going their separate ways, Clary and I staying as she finishes up her juice, "So I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me today, casual wear and we would probably just go to the park, pizza, and come back and chill in my room if you want. What do you say?"

She smiles nodding, "I would love that, J."

"Great meet in the foyer in 15," I say giving her a quick kiss. I head to my room and get dressed.

Clary's PoV

I stand there for a second after Jace gives me a kiss before heading to my room getting ready to meet up with him.

I meet up with Jace and we set out on our day. Memories come flooding back during the day I smile every time one comeback, I turn to Jace every time to tell him what I remember. When we get back I remember almost everything, my favorite memory is when Jace confessed all of his feeling for me after our date didn't go that well. We stop off in the weaponry to drop off a couple of things when a sudden flashback of asking Izzy to be my parabatai comes back. I immediately stop and tell Jace, He smiles and we race to Izzy.

When we reach her I jump on her causing us both to fall to the ground, I giggle a little bit before saying, "Iz will you be my parabatai, I just remembered that you asked and I want to know if you still want to be?"

"of course," she squeals.

And just like that all my memories come flooding back hitting me like a ton of bricks. Making me gasp a little before smiling, life is finally starting to fall back into place...

I hope this was good. also very very very sorry for the wait I have a bit of a hectic life rn, my brother left for boot camp/Basic Training and I miss him a lot. School starts Wednesday for me cause Im a junior this year, freshman start tomorrow(tuesday). Have a great day, guys.
