Jace's PoV

I was on my way to school with Alec Driving and Izzy in the back. I have the best girlfriend in the whole world y'all I swear, Clary makes me so fucking happy man. Her brother Jonathan is fucking terrifying when he wants to be. He talked to me when Clare and I first got together. I love her family I think as I remember when I first met them...

🦕 Flashback 🦕

I was meeting Clary's family for the first time, and damn was I fucking nervous.

"J, it'll be ok. They will love you. Trust me my mom might end up loving you more than me and Jon," She said.

"Baby no one could love me more than they love you. You're the definition of perfect to me, Little Red."

She blushes and we walk up to the door before Clary can even open the door a tall dark-skinned man opens it.

"Hey, Luke this is my boyfriend Jace. Jace this is my stepdad, Luke."

"Nice to meet you, sir," I say holding my hand out.

He takes it before he says, "You too, Jace. Sadly I have to go to the station. I'll be back when I can Kids. Have a good night."

With that, he kisses Clary's cheek and heads out. We walk in to meet a smaller lady I'm assuming is Clary's mom and Jon. I've been friends with him since I can remember we are on the football team together so I know how protective he is of Clary and I am waiting for him to threaten me. Ever since it came out at school he has been nothing but a sweet angel to me. Which is a sign I'm going to get my ass beat if I hurt Clary?

"Hey man. How ya been?" Jon asked pulling me into a bro hug where he whispers, "If you hurt her I will kill you."

I gulp nodding, "I'm doing good man. How about you?"

"I'm doing very well thank you for asking. How are you, little sis?" He says patting my shoulders and looking towards Clary.

"I'm fine Jon now no going threatening my boyfriend, who just so happens to be your friend and teammate." She says giving him a look.

He puts his arms up in surrender chuckling.

"Sure thing you little Carrot," he says.

Clary groans while I chuckle. She hides her head in my chest while I wrap an arm around her.

Her mom comes over to introduce herself, "Hello, My name is Jocelyn. Jonathan please be nice to your sister's girlfriend and stop calling clary a carrot."

"Sorry mom, sorry Clary, I guess I'm sorry to Jace," he says.

Jocelyn slaps the back of his head as she walks away, I chuckle, "That's ok Jon I get it I would be the same if it were me and Izzy in this situation."

🦕 End of Flashback 🦕

"Hey, Jace we're here. You nervous?" He asks as he pulls into his parking spot at school.

"Nervous as hell man, I just hope she likes them," I trail off.

"She will trust me Clary is all about sentimentality. She lives and breathes it, she gets all excited when you do stuff like this," Izzy says to me rolling her eyes at Clary's reactions to small things I do.

I laugh and playfully nudge her, she looks at me and shoves me back with a smile on her face.

Alec looks at us weirdly, " How are you guys, my siblings?"

"Whatever Grinch," Izzy and I say at the same time fist-bumping one another.

I go looking for Clary only to find her waiting at my locker reading a book.

"Hey Dragon, how are you this lovely morning?" I ask with a smile.

"I'm am doing very well Prince Charming," she replies with a smile stretching on her tiptoes to kiss me.

I smile into the kiss pulling out the box in my pocket showing her the contents.

"I, Jonathan Christopher Herondale, promise to love and care for you till the day I can officially make you mine forever. Will you accept one of these bracelets as a token of that promise?" I ask.

By this point she had tears rolling down her cheeks, both our siblings stopped and watched along with everyone in the hallway.

She nods throwing her arms around me in a passionate kiss. We could hear all the people cheering happily for us. We were named the 'It Couple' of the school.

We decided to go out for the day after school. While we were in my car I could tell Clary was a little stressed from the test we had in physics class.

"Baby it's ok you probably got an A+ like you always do, you're a genius babe," I said.

"J, I'm more concerned about your grades than my own," She said chuckling.

"Well I never," I said while putting a hand over my heart like I was hurt by what she said. I started laughing with her.

she chuckles leaning over the center counsel of my Jeep Wrangler. In all honesty, I was a little nervous about my grade to, being on the football team you have to keep your grades up. So Clary has been helping me study and stay on track as well as keeping our relationship alive. Clary and I haven't had sex yet in our relationship, I want to make sure she is ready and I know she isn't right now. I respect that, but that doesn't mean we don't have a little fun here and there. Sometimes during our study sessions, we would play a game of strip only going down to underwear but it was fun. Every time I got one right she strips, every time I got it wrong I strip, Once we would be stripped to our underwear it would turn to a kiss if I got them right, if I got them wrong I had to help her with a question on her English homework or whatever she wanted me to do.

Once I got roped into a shopping trip with her, Izzy, and Magnus Alec's boyfriend. I love this woman with all my heart but angel I never want to go shopping with the three of them again. For now, I just have to hope I got a good grade.
