The absolute despair Calum was feeling as he packed his suitcase to return home was practically radiating off his body; Michael could feel it as he watched silently in the doorway to their bedroom, his arms crossed and a sad expression on his face.

"Let's do something before we leave to go home," Michael suggested as Calum zipped up the suitcase. He looked up at Michael's suggestion, raising a questionable eyebrow. He couldn't think of anything that would actually be fun to do and not just remind him that he'd never be able to speak.

Michael heaved, pushing his weight off the doorframe and back onto his feet. "Stop being so depressing, I have something in mind that I'm positive you'll enjoy." He said brightly, offering Calum a smile who just refused it, crossing his own arms.

With a sigh, Michael spun around. "Well, meet me at the door, Mr. Grumpy pants." He grumbled, mostly to himself but Calum still heard him.

They both wandered outside hand in hand, hailing a cab. Michael actually whispered to the cab driver where to take them because he was that set on it being a surprised. Calum just sort of rolled his eyes, sighing and sinking back in his seat. Michael didn't like this moody teenage girl attitude on Calum.

The drive was quite long but eventually they pulled into a mostly empty parking lot to a large arena. Calum was beyond confused. It wasn't the kind of arena a concert or sports game would be played at, but even if it was, the parking lot was more than half empty so it would've been a lame event.

"Thank you!" Michael chirped, paying the cab driver ten dollars more than he was suppose to. Calum didn't understand why, he wasn't even that nice of a driver; Michael could've used that ten dollars on something more important like food.

Calum hadn't realized he'd zoned out thinking about the money until he felt himself be physically tugged out of the cab. "C'mon, babe." Michael whined, smiling like a little happy kitten when Calum actually responded and started climbing out of the cab.

The two boys strolled through the empty parking lot, up to the entrance of this strange arena thing. It was definitely much warmer inside and the first thing that happened before Calum could even think of where they were was he felt Michael's hands reaching up to take off Calum's trooper hat.

Calum immediately jerked his head away from Michael's hands, giving him an absolutely appauled look. Michael cutely quirked up one of his eyebrows.

"What? Don't you always take off your hat while playing soccer?" Michael asked, the smirk he was trying to surpress painfully obvious.

Surprise washed over Calum's face and he glanced behind Michael's head. Sure enough, there was a sign that read 'Easten's Recreational Centre - Indoor Soccer, Floor Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball and Badminton.'

Calum stared at Michael with wide eyes before throwing his arms around Michael's neck, hugging him with all his might. He'd never admit what a big mistake quiting soccer was because he missed the adrenaline he got when he played more than he missed anything- even speaking.

Michael signed them up at the front desk and then they both went back to the little change rooms they had next to the gym area. Michael said that he'd just watch from the sidelines because he didn't want to mess up Calum's experience but Calum had written that he wouldn't enjoy himself unless Michael played with him.

Less than five minutes later, Calum was excitedly bursting out of the change room and running in and through the gym like an excited little kid. Michael followed not that far behind, smiling fondly because he thought Calum was beyond adorable.

Calum got a ball for them and began kicking around and on the sides of his feet, obviously trying to show off in front of Michael.

Michael laughed. "You know I have no idea how to play soccer, right?" He asked, awkwardly kicking his feet as he watching Calum enjoy himself. Calum just nodded, letting the ball bounce to the ground then passing it to Michael.

Michael stopped the ball with a startled expression; he didn't expect Calum to kick the ball to him. He stood with the ball at his feet, dumbly staring at Calum. "Do I kick it back?"

Calum chuckled airily, nodding his head. Michael kicked the ball back to Calum and oh, Calum could pick out so many things Michael did wrong. First of all, he kicked it right with the tip of his toe, he let his leg swing forward after kicking it and the ball hardly even went to Calum. But, it was good for his first try.

They passed the ball back and forth like this for a while, Michael occasionally making some dumb joke and them both laughing even though it was stupid. One time, Michael slipped and fell when he was about the kick the ball and Calum keeled over with laughter while Michael pouted on the floor.

After passing to each other, they decided to have a shoot out. They discovered that Calum wasn't very good at being a goalie and Michael was even worse; he'd squeal like a girl everytime the ball went near him.

It seemed like they'd been there for hours when they finally left. Michael had to call a taxi company since the road in front of the arena was vacant.

They sat on the bench on the sidewalk as they waited for their cab, Calum's head rested comfortably on Michael's shoulder and they both just enjoyed the sound of each others breathing.

"Hey, Calum?" Michael asked softly. Calum lifted his head and looked into Michel's eyes. He seemed sleepy, but Michael couldn't blame him since they had done physical activities all day.

Michael just stared at Calum for a fair amount of time before he leaned in and chastely pressed his lips against Calum's. As Calum kissed back, Michael raised his hand and cupped Calum's cheek, making the kiss more sensual and loving.

They both pulled away when air was needed, letting out tiny gasps for air and marvelling over each others swollen and kissed lips. "I love you." Michael whispered after a moment of silence, smiling happily when Calum mouthed 'I love you too'.

"Do you think maybe this could be a thing?" Michael asked, intertwining his and Calum's fingers and shyly looking down at his lap. "Like, us? Be together, I mean.."

Calum couldn't help but giggle quietly at how awkward Michael was acting. He nodded his head, lifting Michael chin and kissing his boyfriend passionately on the lips.
