1. MOVING IN

( GUDDAN'S P.O.V )

Have you ever felt happiness and sadness at the same time.
That's how I am feeling right now, different emotions are flowing through me like a jumbled mess. Logically my heart is dancing in glee that I will finally be able to finish my college and persuade my dream career.
But emotionally I am devasted, I have left all those happy times behind.
Leaving my childhood home was the hardest part of moving, my heart clenched painfully by remembering all the blesfull moments of that house.

No Guddan, don't go there, I mentally scold myself.
You are here to fulfill your dreams, to make mom proud,
Don't just stand there and get sad over old memories, think about

" If you have done freakin staring out in space then get your butt over here and help me to unpack ."

And just like this my mental pep talk was being rudely interrupted by no one other but my best friend Aanya.
Don't get me wrong i love her to the moon and back but she can be so loud & annoying sometimes.

" Coming " I replied her back.

We finished unloading the boxes in silence, no one uttered a word.
She is well aware of my feelings and that's the soul reason she is like a sister to me. She always know how to cheer me up or when to give me some space.

"Damn I am starving " Aanya said in a huff.

"Yeah let's order something"

"What about pizza "

"Sounds good to me " I replied with a curt nod.

She went to the living room to order our dinner while I freshened up. After about 20 minutes the doorbell rang, Aanya received the delivery & paid for pizza.

"Hey G, you excited for final year.? " Aanya asked in a chipper tone. Her voice was full with excitment. If you haven't guessed yet then yup we are in same year & same college.

"Don't know Aaney, I am nervous ". I replied back while glancing at her.

" Why nervous, duh chill everything is gonna be perfect, ". This was something about aanya that everyone appreciates.
She is always confident & optimistic.

" I hope so "

Rest of the dinner passed with little conversations, after dinner we decided to watch some episodes of stranger things ,
Halfway to the episode my eyes begin to get heavy. I glanced at Aanya & she was also yawning.
And since it was pretty late too we decided to call it a night.

" Night G " Aanya yelled while locking her room's door .

"Good night Aney "

I too went to my room.
It was not like my old bedroom but the calm aura of this room make me sigh with peace. Folding all the tiring events of today and thinking about the better tomorrow I climb on my queen sized bed. My mind was again drifting back to my old house, to all those priceless memories which I'll cherish forever.
Soon enough I drifted in a calm shadow of sleep with just one thought in my mind that my mom always used to tell me.
